Shield units
What specifically are SBDs a measure of? Are they basically hitpoints, like "Shield Units" in the Dark Forces saga games? --Andrew Nagy 00:32, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Alternate usage
In "Republic Commando" the clone troopers sometimes say "SBD" as an abbreviation for super battle droid. Should this and any other alternate definitions be included? —Unsigned comment by 65.12.128.24 (talk • contribs)
- That's what the "youmay" template is for. There's really no need to make any further mention of it in this article. Grand Moff Tranner

Base Comparison
The article says that Imperial vs Alliance measurements are often in disagreement. Are there any that are corresponding, to give an idea of the general strength of one craft`s shields against another's? X-Wings seem to be a fairly common base standard, do Imperial and Alliance intelligence agree on its shield strength? DarthBob14 38.109.29.125 17:05, March 14, 2013 (UTC)

Actual meaning
Does anyone know what the letters actually stand for, if anything? SeniramUK 23:10, January 12, 2019 (UTC)
- It stands for Shield Base Durability. Scout1534 (talk) 13:56, August 12, 2019 (UTC)
- I've added the {{fact}} tag for that -- if you could please provide the exact source for that information, that would be appreciated. - Sir Cavalier of One

Source ?
The phrase "The Executor-class star dreadnought and a shield power of 96,000 SBD." not only comports a mistake, it also doesn't cite any source. The only thing my brief search on google found was results from fanfiction websites.
