fiction or non-fiction: blurring the lines
Will Wookieepedia have separate articles for the restaurant on Earth and the restaurant in a galaxy far, far away?
If the Earth restaurant sells, for example, turkey (meat of the Earth bird) and calls it Nuna Turkey Jerky, can we say canonically that nuna tastes like Earth turkey? (For comparison, my lightsaber is mostly plastic, but we don't say that canon lightsabers are made of plastic, and we don't call Lando Calrissian an African American.)

- We refer to things by their in-universe names. OOU info goes in the behind the scenes. Fan26 (Talk) 11:42, May 16, 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, the best way to include the real world restaurants and shops is just to mention the real ones in the behind the scenes sections. The same goes for the food, where we can include the real ingredients in behind the scenes. --JMM (talk) 12:29, May 16, 2019 (UTC)
- My real question is: Is the flavor canon? (For comparison, i've heard about one TV show where the vampires drank Human blood, but the fake blood in the actors' mouths tasted like mint.)
- Really more of a curiosity than anything important to Wookieepedia. The important lesson for Wookieepedia would be, anyone asking a question has to phrase it carefully so that helpful souls trying to answer don't answer the wrong question.
- i agree that if the Earth restaurant sells turkey as Nuna Jerky, that is OOU, BTS, non-canon info. i have no objection to describing Out-Of-Universe stuff in a Behind-The-Scenes section of the In-Universe restaurant's article, i just wanted to point out sometimes we do have separate IU and OOU articles (for example, Leia Organa and Carrie Fisher).
