Wouldn't this be referenced in Episode 1 and 2? Or how it's different from Great Peace? --Goodmind (talk) 01:12, January 10, 2020 (UTC)
- As I stated on the Great Peace talk page, I didn't really see any difference between the two, maybe I missed something but so far it hasn't been pointed out so unless someone wants to point it out, I think they should be merged --Lewisr (talk) 01:37, January 10, 2020 (UTC)
Merging Fall of the Republic onto Republic Era
After a little bit of discussion about the two pages, a few of us agree that Republic Era should be merged with Fall of the Republic. Fall of the Republic doesn't really seem to be used as a period of time of its own, more of something that fits better being added in the latter stages of a history section on the Republic Era page itself. There also doesn't really seem to be a set starting point for the fall, I'm not really sure where in TPM its established that the Republic's fall began there as the page suggests. Are there any strong objections to this merge? --Lewisr (talk) 02:27, June 17, 2020 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me!

- If this is happening, then I can handle the infobox updating. I made the Fall of the Republic one, after all. SilverSunbird (talk) 03:09, June 17, 2020 (UTC)
- I wonder if perhaps the Fall of the Republic should stay a page, but as a subdivision of the Republic Era, with the infoboxes merged to match. The same could possibly be done with the High Republic Era since that also seems to be a subset of the Republic Era. SilverSunbird (talk) 07:17, July 3, 2020 (UTC)
- See my proposal for a redesign of the relevant infobox here. SilverSunbird (talk) 16:38, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Nice work! Though I still feel that merging the two is the best option here. The difference with the High Republic Era is that there is a clearly defined set of time which is that era. The fall of the Republic doesn't appear to have that, see The Force databank entry for example which seems to go back a long time under the fall of the Republic section --Lewisr (talk) 17:27, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Then I can just get rid of the link to it in the template. NBD. SilverSunbird (talk) 17:45, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Then as it has been over a month, I feel like we should carry out the merge --Lewisr (talk) 17:56, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Right. I'll do the infoboxes. SilverSunbird (talk) 17:59, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Once you are done with those, looks like its an easy just pasting what's on FOTR onto Republic Era job --Lewisr (talk) 18:02, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Templates are done. SilverSunbird (talk) 18:18, July 27, 2020 (UTC)
