Taung

The Rattataki may be the evolved or hybrid form of the Taung, as there love for battle and chalk white skin may or may not be indicators to there genetic history. This is only a theory and so counts as strictly as non-cannon. Awar 23:04, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Evolved from Taung, hmmm... I don't agree. I've seen pictures of the Taung and they look nothing like these Rattataki.--DrumSolo 11:45, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

age

Did they live about as long as humans or longer? 67.72.98.119 23:19, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Species

Surely Osika Kirske is also a Rattataki. He says that "we knew nothing of the ourside galaxy or your Republic..." --Eyrezer 02:00, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Umbaran-like mind control?

Is there canonical source support for that? It sounds as if somebody along the way has confused the similar-looking Umbaran's telepathic abilities as being shared by this species. I don't see that particular statement in the article sourced. Can somebody check that? Xavic Kae 23:38, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I'd call that one a definite case of mistaken identity. I've never heard anything about any Rattataki mind-controlling powers of any kind.--Bella'Mia 09:23, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

Rewrite Needed

The History section is attrociously written. I don't have enough of the sources or relevant knowledge to rewrite it myself. How do I flag this section as needing attention? Xavic Kae 00:02, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Wow, you weren't kidding. I added a rewrite request. Serfington

It has been Confirmed on Season 03 Episode 12 of Star Was:The Clone Wars that Asajj Ventress is in fact from Dathomir. Also, not everyone of her race is bald, as some are depicted as having hair in the episode. Patriautism

Using your guidelines and the info on this talk page, I rewrote the History section to de-emphasize the activities of Asajj Ventress, while still trying to include her relevance to the Rattataki's introduction to the Republic. But I don't have any additional historical resources either, so I thought I would leave the "rewrite" tag and let someone else confirm it works before they take it down.--Sable Aradia (talk) 20:14, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Star Wars The Old Republic

I just noticed on the page for SWOTR game page with the part of playable species it said rattataki. I was like whaaaa! anyway, should we list SWTOR as a apperence and source or what here is a website. http://www.thegalacticstruggle.com/2010/05/13/star-wars-the-old-republic-reveal-playable-species-with-our-hands-on/ --Jackson31195 20:41, May 14, 2010 (UTC)

Yup, looks like the history has been retconned. Ausir(talk) 00:51, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

NOT Assajj Ventress

The official site is now saying that Assajj is NOT a Rattataki from Rattatak, but a Dathomiri from Dathomir [1]. Now what? Gry Sarth 14:36, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sadly, since the Insider and apparently the databank say Ventress is no longer Rattataki, the article must be rewritten. This is TCW's steam rolling of canon at its best. 9_9 JangFett (Talk) 19:08, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
  • Steamrolling of canon as its finest, indeed. What's next?! Is Greedo not actually a Rodian?. Facts are nice, until they go and change them. Surely this conflicts with other previous sources that established her as a Rattataki, but since "T-Canon" takes priority over those, we've got lots of editing to do. It'll be a couple days until I have time for it, but I hope nobody beats me to it.Master Lorimor 19:10, January 10, 2011 (UTC)
    • It will get worse. Like Star Wars: Obsession will be phased out of canon (It would be pretty much come to it in my POV)I swear these "Rectums" (snickers) really SUCK. I liked it better that Asajj Ventress was a Rattataki. Or if Darth Maul is Really Savage Opress (Like what kinda name is that?) But if Darth Lucas wants to *iss all over his stuff then let him. I'd like to see Star Wars lose popularity and if anyone agrees then lets see it happen.-Boba fett 32 03:35, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
      • I mean like if Maul is Savage Opress? THAT WOULD SUCK. Because for once: Maul is DEAD. He was split in half, he fell about a thousand miles below which would result his skull or something getting cracked, he would not survive and above all: HE IS DEAD. And Yes T-Canon sucks with The Clone Wars. (Who knows if Star Wars The Clone Wars is even canon or not?)-Boba fett 32 01:19, January 28, 2011 (UTC)
        • While I realize TCW does contradict a lot of canon, I would like to point out the {{Talkheader}} listed on top of the page. The talk pages are not discussion forums. JangFett (Talk) 01:24, January 28, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I'm sorry. But all those established story's like Republic Commando and all. Or when Asajj Ventress's family where warlords or something like that.-Boba fett 32 01:34, January 28, 2011 (UTC)
