Rank continuity error

The reference book Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary lists stormtroopers who were the black pauldron were Sergeants yet Pyre is referred to as "Commander".Jkirk8907 (talk) 09:25, March 14, 2019 (UTC)

I don't think this is a continuity error. Pyre has customized armor, so its very likely that his pauldron doesnt conform to the rank system. What is an error though is CS-812 being a sergeant while he has an orange pauldron.--Vitus Infinitus^Talk 13:04, March 14, 2019 (UTC)

Pyre appearance in TLJ novel

So In Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Expanded Edition there this passage that says "[Phasma] inclined her chrome helmet to address her second in command. 'High alert, Commander,' she said. 'Their ships are dropping like flies. Our time approaches.'" - TLJ novelization, page 134. With that said and given that Amy Beth Christenson said that Pyre was Phasma's Second in command, can we add the TLJ novel to his appearances with the (First mentioned, albeit indirectly) tab?Jkirk8907 (talk) 07:42, March 19, 2019 (UTC)

I would say no. There's still a small gap of time where he could've died. If Resistance go past that and he still alive then we could--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 08:03, March 19, 2019 (UTC)

Phasma outranks Pyre?

Err...ok last I checked, the rank of Commander outranks a Captain. So....I'm a little lost why Phasma outranks him? Is there a reason for this?Wolfscar1 (talk) 21:36, March 26, 2019 (UTC)

- US NAVAL ranks, Commander is an O5, Captain is O6. In most Avi-gi, including Star Wars, the fleet uses uses navy ranks, and ground forces use army ranks. An army Captain would be an O3, and then O6 rank is Colonel. You just were looking at the wrong service.68.98.191.7

Death

What's the source stating that Pyre definitely died? Sure, the finale shows the Star Destroyer being blown up, but we never actually see a corpse. Therefore, we cannot claim with confidence that Pyre is dead, unless a source (outside of Twitter, as per Wook policy) says so. Keeper of the Timeline (talk) 14:13, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

- For the record, "presumed" should not be used on the site. If it's speculation that Pyre died (having never watched Resistance, I can't say for certain) than that information should be removed from the page. If he did die, then presumed is unnecessary. I agree, Pyre wasn't killed onscreen. But did Star Wars battles that changed the galaxy confirm that he's dead, -User:DevonHeaven

Article improvement

If Agents Tierny and Raith and Lieutenant Galek have had their articles imporved and have been nomiated as featured articles then why cant we do the same for Pyre like Wookieepedia did with his blaster. Same goes Elrik Vonreg. Can we get his article improved to a higher standard please? -- A Fandom User 14:39, July 10, 2025 (UTC)
