Shouldn't the Padawan Massacres of Taris be here also? User:RushinSundaws 7:31, February 27 2006

  • I agree. But the incident is not yet big enough compared to Great Sith Wars / Mandalorian Wars, etc. Maybe we will revise it after the KOTOR Commencement Story arc finished. Darth Kevinmhk 10:02, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

War infobox

Is the war infobox teplate really needed for this article? The "Old Sith Wars" describes an entire time period, not a specific war. As such, the infobox is simply not adequate and it shows. In its current form, the infobox is so garbled, vague, and generalized that it is virtually useless. Mind if I remove it? --Sentry [Talk] 08:24, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

End

What would the official end of the Old Sith Wars be? The destruction of Malachor V or the Republic liberation of 400090—no, 400593—sorry, 40072—the G0-T0 territory things? -- SFH 04:54, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Timeline correct?

Is the Great Droid Revolution really the beginning of the Old Sith Wars? What does that have to do with the Sith? I can see how the Destruction of Ambria could mark the beginning of the Old Sith Wars, but not the Great Droid Revolution. And to repeat the question above, is the end of the Old Sith Wars the Destruction of Malachor V or the Liberation of 400100500260026? Again, it would seem to me like the former, not the latter. ~ Jaywin

Great Galactic War from SW:TOR?

Just putting this out there for discussion/debate, but should or shouldn't the Great War (or "Great Galactic War") and Interstellar Cold War from the upcoming MMO be considered at least a nominal part of the Old Sith Wars era, considering their immediate temporal proximity to -- and direct storyline connections with -- the KotOR series, both the comics and the video games?

For instance, we know that the so-called "New Sith Wars" are not considered to have begun until roughly 2,000 BBY, with the rise of Darth Ruin, and we also know that the MMO's events and conflicts are much more proximate to the TotJ/KotOR era than the period encompassing the lives of Ruin, Kaan, Bane, and other latter-day, pre-Ruusan Sith Lords.

And given the fact that BioWare is essentially considering SW:TOR to be a de facto KotOR sequel (roughly equivalent to "KotOR III, IV, V, VI, VII through XII," they said) I move that the Great War and Interstellar Cold War should be justifiably added to the Old Sith Wars section for the time being -- it's likely that future official LFL sources will be placing them under this particular rubric anyhow, and as I mentioned, these events are much closer kissing-cousins to the events of KotOR/TotJ than those of the Ruin/Bane epoch.

Thoughts/ruminations/objections? --The Bandsaw Vigilante 19:38, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I agree. This article states that the Old Sith Wars do not include conflicts including the True Sith Empire as a belligerent (that is, the Great Galactic War) but I see no rationale for this in either the article or anywhere else. Considering its chronological proximity to the other Old Sith Wars, and the precedent we already have for grouping together a millennium of spread out conflicts (The New Sith Wars), it seems perfectly reasonable for the Great Galactic War to be included among the list of Old Sith Wars. --Dasein45

7.1 New message

Any references to find out how Jedi Order reformed after Old Sith War. Basically all Jedi were wiped out, right?
