Title
I thought that policy says that a character's article should be titled with the name that character is most known by in the Star Wars Universe. Isn't he better known as Thrawn rather than Mitth'raw'nuruodo? Another example is Grievous instead of Qymaen jai Sheelal. --Mateo22 19:49, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
- I've wondered about this one myself. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 19:58, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
- "Grievous" was an actual name taken on in place of "Qymaen jai Sheelal" (though personally I wouldn't mind having his article at Sheelal) whereas "Thrawn" is just a shortened version of "Mitth'raw'nuruodo"; ergo, a nickname. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:41, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
- I know that, but he is still better known by his nickname than by his full name, so I think it would better fit policy to title the article Thrawn. --Mateo22 01:38, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. From most of what I've read, nobody really calls him Mitth'raw'nuruodo. I even had to paste the name it's so long. The article refers to him numerous times as Thrawn, Grand Admiral Thrawn, or something else. I think the Title should simply be "Thrawn". --Booster Terrik 14:38, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
Mitth not Nuruodo?
What's the source for that... I was always under the impression (from reading and re-reading Zahn) that he was from Nuruodo and the source isn't cited?
Return
I've heard rumors that they may be bringing Thrawn back to relieve Mara jade's feeling that he may have survived. Any truth to this? —Unsigned comment by 146.7.40.87 (talk • contribs)
- How is this relevant to improving this article. Please take time reading the {{talkheader}}. --Xd1358 Talk 17:50, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
- I believe there is a mention about that possibility in Behind the Scenes, but dear friend Xd is right. This information is not relevant until there is some proof one way or another.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 22:35, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
New Thrawn Quote?
Booster Terrik 14:33, July 12, 2010 (UTC) Hey everybody! I stumbled upon a new Thrawn quote the other dsy:
- "The man's incredible. I'd like to meet him, shake his hand. And then kill him, of course"
- ― Corran Horn
Wonder if we could use it to replace the current summary quote? Thanks.
I don't think you should replace the summary quote as I think that one really illustrates his character well. If you could find a different quote to replace that would be fine because I really do like this qoute--Admrial Thrawn 05:06, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
The thing about the current summary quote by Palpatine is that the quote really encompasses the character of Thrawn. However, the Corran Horn quote might be good somewhere else in the article. --Jero (talk) 07:12, July 7, 2012 (UTC)

Scottish
I was flipping through Scottish words for a non-Wookiepedia project and I found that "Thrawn" means "stubborn", or at least what this site claims: [1] —Unsigned comment by PhaethonZer0fNothing (talk • contribs)
- That could be true; however, if the connection has not been confirmed by an official source, it can't be added to the article. 1358 (Talk) 13:02, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

do any of you think that there is a good place to put this quote?
Cel: "What do you suppose Thrawn would make of the Yuuzhan Vong, sir?" Wedge: "Ground Vong, probably—if he had a few examples of their art." ―Lieutenant Cel and General Wedge Antilles —Unsigned comment by Venom assult trooper (talk • contribs)
Okay this HAS to be a quote somewhere: "He has no patterns; no favorite strategies; no discernible weaknesses. He studies his enemies and tailors his attacks against psychological blind spots. He doesn't overcommit his forces, and he's not to proud to back off when it's clear he's losing. Which doesn't happen very often. As you're finding out." -Mara Jade (Star Wars: The Last Command, 122) 96.251.166.26 06:16, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
Thrawn's wife
Thrawn had a wife named Amber, a human and lethan twi'lek hybrid. They had 3 kids: Thrawn Jr., Eli, and Aralani. After Thrawn's death, Amber and her kids moved to the Hosnian where they lived happily ever after until Kylo Ren and Hux blow up their home. Thrawn and Amber are reunited in their deaths. —Unsigned comment by Benslittlerstarkiller (talk • contribs)
