CompassionateGeneral?
on the Clone Wars entry page, there is a very neat picture of a Jedi General helping clones care for one of their injured. This picture is easily one of the neatest Star Wars paintings I've seen in a while, and unfortunately, it has no source. It looks like something out of a Sourcebook or something like that, but I've never seen it anywhere but here, nor can I find info on it anywhere.
does anyone know where this image is from? maybe the artist's name and contact info? I want it framed on my wall! :)liam
- That's actually a friend of mine's favorite pic, too. It's from the Galactic Campaign Guide, pg. 158. It was created by Marc Sasso, and is the center pic in this gallery. jSarek 17:21, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm more than terribly sorry if I'm breaking any rules, but...
Before I say anything, let me apologise in advance in case it's considered innapropiate to direct attention to an issue having to do with a page you've just modified by bringing it up in the main site's talk page, but I thought someone might be interested in this, and I don't know if administrators are immediately somehow notified when someone modifies an article: just yesterday, I noted Ganner Rhysode's article over at Wikipedia claimed he was based on pseudo-superhero Booster Gold. While I'm almost 100% sure that's not the case, it seems so many people had a hand on Ganner's page over here that he is more popular than I originally thought, so someone may actually care checking if he was really based on Booster Gold or not. There's more on this matter in Ganner's talk page. --Ace_ETP 18:09, 23 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Happy Life-Day! Hey, since today is Christmas, shouldn't the Star Wars Holiday Special be a featured article? Even if its just for one day. --Brian 20:34, 25 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Should action figures have their own category and article pages?
I tried posting this elsewhere, but for some reason it disappeared. Let’s try this again. I don’t know if this topic has been brought up before, so I apologize in advance, if this is redundant.
Should there be separate articles for action figures or should such information be placed under a header in the respective character’s entry? Some action figures have had multiple variations, and would probably generate enough info and (hopefully interest) to warrant its own page.
I’m thinking…
Luke Skywalker (action figures)
[Category:Action figures] (as a sub-cat for [Category:Toys]).
…stuff like that . I have the Star Wars: The Action Figure Archive, so I’ll be able to contribute a lot of material for stuff that was released pre-Phantom Menace. If this is okay with the admins, I'd be happy to start creating category and article pages.
Thoughts?
--Brian 22:49, 30 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Barrng action figures with illustrious stories (the original Obi-Wan with blue or white hair), I think we would be better off having a page for each line of figures. I don't think we want to have a page for each action figure, LEGO set or piece of merchandise ever created. --SparqMan 23:03, 30 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Agreed. Collecting sites like GalacticHunter, JediDefender, Rebelscum, and others have already covered that in considerable detail. I don't think such things are the focus of the Wookieepedia, particularly considering it would just be reinventing a wheel that ain't broke. (Mixed metaphor alert! :P)--Valin Kenobi 04:51, 31 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- However, we could still have the line of those toys released, without getting into too great of detail. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:51, 31 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Improvement Drive History
I posted this on the Improvement Drive History talk page, but am copying it here. Maybe we could put in a more prominent link to the history so that people can contribute to articles that still need help? Or maybe we should come up with a full directory of all articles tagged with "Needs sources" or "needs cleanup" or "needs expansion" tags so that people could browse and find the article they can help best.--The Erl of the Improvement Drive

Italicize Star Wars
Should the words "Star Wars" be italicized? --Imp 13:39, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- No. --Master Starkeiller 14:01, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Then something should be added to the Manual of Style. --Imp 14:04, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree, especially in cases where Star Wars is being used as shorthand for either Star Wars Eppisode IV: A New Hope or for the entirety of Star Wars canon (i.e. when referring to "The Star Wars saga" or simply Star Wars.) In fact, a quick scan of the back covers of my books show that Star Wars is italicized whenever the phrase is used. Of course, these are mostly old books....8) — Silly Dan 14:39, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Star Wars is italicized in Republic Commando: Hard Contact, which is a fairly recent novel. -- Falmarin 09:00, 9 Jan 2006 (UTC)
The Main Page needs a more organaized look
As one of the first things new users encounter when coming to this wiki, I think certain elements of the main page should look better and be more presentable and Star Wars-like. The Memory Alpha Wiki has accomplished something along these lines with their wiki, and it would be great to do it with this one. And our new logo is definately a step in the right direction! So... what do ya' think? Adamwankenobi 10:03, 9 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I actually think the Memory Alpha page looks terrible. And I sort of like the main page the way it is. But more Star Wars like would be good. - Alpha Fire 02:30, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Alpha Fire. The Memory Alpha main page is cluttered and unnecessarily wordy. --SparqMan 02:44, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I think our Main Page is organized fairly well. Though I do think Wookieepedia might benefit from a new colour scheme. Afterall, white pages with blue and purple links is very 1998. But not Memory Alpha's colour scheme; that's just icky. --Azizlight 03:06, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I definitely thiink it needs a more organized look. If I weren't such a Star Wars fanatic, it might have dissuaded me from joining... maybe.

Chronology project
Does a 'Star Wars Chronology Project' exist, like what is done for Marvel characters over at the Marvel Chronology Project? A subsection of Wookieepedia might be a great place to set up something like this. It would contribute a lot to tracking characters for article research.--StAkArNak 20:45, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- If you're looking for a timeline, I would suggest the Star Wars Timeline Gold, by Nathan Butler. --MarcK [talk] 03:01, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I am familliar with it and am not proposing a Wookieepedia timeline. The MCP is not a timeline. What I want to do is track every canon appearance of every single character. For example, in Anakin Skywalker's entry, we see this list of appearances:
- Star Wars: Episode I Racer
- Podracing Tales
- Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
- Star Wars Episode I Journal: Anakin Skywalker
- Star Wars Republic: Emissaries to Malastare
- Jedi Quest series
- Rogue Planet
- A Jedi's Weapon
- The Approaching Storm
- Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
- Republic HoloNet News Core Edition 14:2:12: CIS Jammer Prototype Destroyed
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars
- Star Wars: Clone Wars
- Reversal of Fortune
- Labyrinth of Evil
- Star Wars Battlefront II
- Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
- Star Wars Empire: Betrayal (flashbacks)
- Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
- The Truce at Bakura (spirit)
- Marvel Star Wars 92: The Dream (spirit)
- The Unifying Force (spirit)
- The Joiner King (hologram)
- The Unseen Queen (hologram)
- The Swarm War (hologram)
- This is along the lines of what I am looking for, but with more exhaustive detail and for every single character.--StAkArNak 12:18, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Can't we replace this section with something ala what the Databank uses? It would open up a lot of free space as well. --Imp 23:08, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- We could, but two concerns: (1) the SW site assumes we know what those roman numerals stand for, which not all of our users may; (2) it gives the entire EU one slot, because the OS treats the EU as less important than the films, which also may not jive. Can you thought up a temp page with an example of what you'd like? --SparqMan 00:29, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

How to improve this site
I have an idea of how we can improve this site. For certain characters, lets use Sith Lords for example, at the bottom of the page there's links to who replaced the Sith Lord and who came before him/her. What if for the books at the bottom therewas a link to the closest book (or movie) that took place before it and the closest book (or movie) that took place after it? Thoughts and comments? --Darthsith19 03:05, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Possibly. We have something similar on 'Battles' pages, with previous and following battles linked in the right-hand infobox - Kwenn 17:08, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Use of links
Just wondering, if we link a character, place, etc. once in an article, do we keep linking it if we use it again in the article.I know that most of the articles only do one link and that's how I do it, because it gets redundant, yet when I redited the Star-Hoppers article taking off the multiple links to each character, it got changed again. So what's the correct way to go about this ? It just seems dumb to keep linking the same thing ten times on one page.Is it ok to have multiple links when it is in a character block and then the article itself ? Thanks guys, any help is always greatly appreciated. sniktawt 13:13, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- My opinion: Short articles should only link to another article once. Long articles can link to another article once in each section. Sources and appearances should always be linked, even they they were already linked to in the text. The infobox should also always have links, even if those links are in the text as well. — Silly Dan 17:27, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

KOTOR movie
Hello there. I'm starting a campaign to get Knights of the Old Republic made into a movie (like Martin Luther King - "I have a dream" - except not really on the same level). If you have any suggestions on anything - plot lines, which characters to include and cut, actors, anything! - Please post your suggestions. I'm building a site as I speak and should be getting there in a few weeks. Farewell, and may the force be with you, always. —Unsigned comment by Lord revan (talk • contribs)
- Yes, because as we all know, Lucasfilms will comply with an internet petition.[/sarcasm].--KrossTransmit on Holonet? 18:56, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- A 2 trilogy saga for NJO would be more welcomed. Or that live action TV show they're planning be changed to NJO. I mean the OT actors are all close to the perfect age... Pipedreaming in excess can be bad for your mental health though. So let's just wait semi eagerly for the current projects :-/
fair points there is no point in pipedreaming but ive got scripts written and ready to G.O. there will initially be 5 episodes, here are the basic plot lines (obviously some facts will have to be 'amended' for hollywood purposes!)- EPISODE I - THE MANDALORIAN WARS - the war starts and revan and malak leave against the council wishes to join the republic army, they get other jedi to follow them - spartas ('the exile'), sion, konnan and many others. revan learns about malachor v and the ancient sith empire etc. the mandalorians are lured to malachor v and the final battle begins, spartas fires the mass shadow generator, revan and malak go to the surface of the planet to wipe out the remaining mandalorians. mandalore the ultimate is killed by revan, revan persuades malak to turn to the darkside with him and find the star forge. revan and malak go to find the rest of their generals to 'turn' them. revan finds sion who says he thinks konnan is dead, sion refuses to to join revan, revan fights sion and cuts off his arm and uses a froce avalanche to crush him. malak finds spartas, who also refuses to turn, they fights and malaks lower jaw is severed. revan and malak escape unnoticed, while the remaining soldiers are welcomed home as heroes. well that is but a taste of what i had in mind - the rest of the films are called the following (and i may write basic plot lines for these on here later) - EPISODE II - THE FALL OF THE REPUBLIC EPISODE III - THE STAR FORGE EPISODE IV - THE SITH LORDS EPISODE V - THE GREAT WAR OF THE REPUBLIC It would be great to hear anyones comments on these ideas!!!!
One problem, making a KotOR film would likely estrange just about every KotOR fan because of the simple element of choice! You'd have to establish a specific canon to it that most people wouldn't like because it would be different to the way they play it. Face it, it's never going to happen. Besides which, you have a load of totally made up stuff in there. You could always write your ideas into a fanon novel and publish it on the KotOR boards. (I myself am writing a full size novel based just after KotOR II, i've done about 50 pages, why? purely self-gratification. WOuld it be cool if I sent it to Lucasfilm and they liked it so much they had it published? yes, do i wish that were the case? yes, is it going to happen? no.
Off Topic, Sorry, Please Help
Hello, I am a Star Wars Fan (obviously) And also an aspergers Syndrome geek who is obsessive compulsive over science issues and physics issues with my entertainment. Herein lies my problem. I have submitted a proposal to WikiCities, and been rejected allready. (In hindsight, the short sweet and simple method may not have been such a good idea.) I wrote an apeal, which hasn't been answered in 10 days. I am hoping that this is an interesting enough of an idea that you guys would do me a favor and mail Angela, or, Go to the proposed WikiCities page and add two cents. Heres my proposal; ---
ThinkStarship Proposal 1.5 Hello, I hope that I am following the intended protocol around here, but where to exactly talk to others is a little vague to me still.
Anyways, operating on the assumption that this is how to open a conversation...
I am the person who proposed "ThinkStarship".
I did it short, sweet, and simple, because that is what the window size screamed at me, and, because I assumed that the idea was sound enough to state simply and quickly, and that you folks are busy enough that you would appreciate that.
Let me walk through the Narrative of my experience a bit. I can't find the original proposal, but I will do my best to create it from memory;
Think Starship will have two main and distinctly different primary functions. The first will be to generate Textbooks on almost any given topic, and the Second will be to design and Implement a Space Colonization program with the goal of colonizing most of our solar system within 50 years.
Allow me now to add a bit to that.
Think Starships First function, to generate a batch of Textbooks, may admittedly be served better in some senses in Wiki Books, and overall, I'm not opposed to that, it almost makes sense. However, let us be clear about what I am saying here. This means a list of Textbooks covering at my latest list about 70 Primary Topics, and all of them inter correlated and inter-relative and interlinking. All of those Topics would be explored from the direction and perspective of pragmatic expediency to the topic at hand; Space Colonization. This is not the same, say for instance, as a Physics Textbook, because a standard Physics textbook does not have as its underlying Theme Space Colonization. Were I to start contributing to a Physics Textbook Effort already in progress, I would bet some people would rightly point out that I was putting in strange and obtuse digressions that seemed Extravagant and only vaguely relative. The Same thing applies for say, Sociology. This isn't a Textbook on the topic of Sociology; it’s a Textbook on the Sociology of 4000 persons isolated from the rest of humanity- Permanently.
All of that may be somewhat moot, I am willing to admit that Wikibooks may still be the place for those Textbooks, and I am comfortable with that as a final judgment, although I assume that Wiki Books would then have to make some effort to reasonably differentiate ThinkStarships' Texts from the Standard.
The second Function of ThinkStarship, (namely designing and implementing a 50 year colonization plan for most of our solar system) Does not even slightly or sort of fit into a futurists WikiCity for a variety of reasons.
The first is that ThinkStarship isn't Speculative, and its only real concern with "The Future" as such is the creation and management and implementation of its own plans.
The second is that ThinkStarship is a very large umbrella, an umbrella so large that it might eventually open up to contain within it Futurist Speculation, although at first for relevancies sake, Futurism is well outside of the purview of think Starship.
Futurist explorations and Think Starships Explorations are two completely different types of interests. One has one foot firmly in the realm of science fiction, speculation, and the realm of the hobbyist. The other is a much more serious, much more pragmatic, much more down to earth type of information, which will have to have very high standards of reality check operating inside of it. Both feet of ThinkStarship must be rooted in Science Fact, or at least, what we can reasonably assume will be Science fact in the very immediate Future. (There are some problems with Space Colonization which are yet to be resolved, the highest order of which are ecological. Given efforts like Wikis' own assorted other efforts, which I have taken a few days now to go look at, most of those problems are already well on their way to being solved if current Wiki trends continue. For instance, a very large database will need to be created, listing all of the organisms that will need to be included in order to have a stable and self sustaining ecosystem, and then all of the chemical inputs and outputs of all of those organisms will have to be charted and mapped. It’s a very simple problem solving process, its just that the database is so huge it hasn't been resolved yet.)
I'd like to list the Topics that do fall under the umbrella of ThinkStarship.
Computer Hardware, Macro (Large Scale) Robotics, Micro (insect Scale) Robotics, NanoRobotics (Single Cell Scale) Robotics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Ecology Sciences, Brain Anatomy, Physiology, Anatomy, Ergonomics, Plant Biology, Animal Biology, Human Biology, Digestive Science, Air Cycle Science, Artificial Intelligence/ Computer Software, Psychology, PsychoNautics, Sociology, Architecture, Arcologies, Electronics, Photal + Optical Sciences, Magnetic Science, Quantum Mechanics, Physics, Thermodynamics, Hydrodynamics, Aerodynamics, Solar Wind Sciences, Aesthetics, Navigation + Cartography, Basic Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Algebra, Calculus, Simulation Mathematics, Linguistics, Syntax, Personnel (Labor Management, Recreations), Personal (Hygiene, ETC), Symbology, Game Theory, Think Tank Science, Educational Science, Law, Ethics, Government, Macro-Process (Interco relation, Multidiscipline map)
That’s off the top of my head; there are more in my notes. Things that DO NOT fall under the Umbrella of ThinkStarship;
Science Fiction, Speculation, Religion, Politics (Except where to point out where science falters due to political motivations, and to transcend glass boundaries of paradigms.), Sexual issues (Except in later development, under "Sociology" and "Personal" subheadings), Games (Except in later development to raise funds for the group by generating games based on our objectives, and in the case of game theory as it applies to Simulation.), Recreational pastimes and hobbies (Again, except in later development, under "Sociology" and "Recreation" and "Personnel" Sub headings.)
I hope that this clarifies where ThinkStarship is coming from, and what its needs are.
Since this is my "Write a detailed proposal" prequel, let me finish with selling the project. What I am offering "Wiki" is essentially a public NASA. The problems of Space colonization are sure to generate remarkable solutions for other problems...This is already the case for the current Space program.
Think Starship will have to undergo several dynamic growth stages, including a lot of financial evolution, and I do have several business plans cooked up to raise funds at that stage of the overall plan.
Obviously, in order to implement what is designed, mostly here on the Wiki, many other computer and software resources will need to be employed, and the Wiki adventure is a sort of infancy for the Think Starship Endeavor.
Thanks for all of your time and energy in this, sincerely, Prometheuspan aka john bassist for ThinkStarship

Vandalism has to stop. To prevent it, we should limit editing to signed-on users. It seems like vandalism is always caused by anons. Lt. 1993 16:19, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it would be the best policy. And permaban everyone who vandalizes a page. - TopAce 12:17, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Squadron Category?
- Wouldn't it be useful to have a category listing Fighter Squadrons? (rogue squadron etc) HavetStorm 19:06, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
- Good idea for me SkywalkerPL 17:13, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Star Wars: The Making of Sidious
There is an attempt to write a novel about Palpatine's early life that is from the birth of, to becoming non-redeemable Darth Sidious.
see Star Wars: The Making of Sidious
- OK, but we don't do articles on fanfic here. —Silly Dan (talk) 17:37, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Star Wars: Revelations ?
Missions Cards
It looks like there'll be a lot of these articles coming soon. The problem is they don't really have a category they can easily fit into. Can one be created, or can anyone suggest a place to put them. HavetStorm 19:32, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- We just decided to put all of them in a gallery on the Star Wars Missions page for now. --Xwing328 02:47, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I 've been following their career with great interest. Thanks though. HavetStorm 17:49, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Republic Commando Installation Problems
My friend on HRwiki (Bluebry Muffin) cannot get it to work. He got it forever ago, and whenever he tries to install it, it works, but then it loads the first level, and crashes. I've given him tons of solutions but none of them work. Please help! --DarthCow--Talk| Email
- Sorry but we can't really help you here. Try Jedi Council Forums or StarWars.com message boards. --Azizlight 02:49, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism on main page.. needs to be fixed
Has anyone but me noticed that the plethora interwiki links goes to the Wikipedia article for Three Amigos? :P I would edit it if I could, but the main page is edit locked. Fix it! -Danik Kreldin 17:25, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- LOL. I think we don't need to protect the main page. If we need to protect it from being moved, it can be accomplished by replacing the content of the Main Page with {{Main Page}} and moving it to Template:Main Page. - Sikon [Talk] 17:35, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, that was a little joke put there by WhiteBoy. I removed it now, though. :P --Imp 17:40, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Better add him to the VIP list then :-P KEJ 17:42, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Weapon\Vehicle
I really think that we should add weapon and vehicle to the character articles I wont make any changes until someone agrees with me.
- No, because it would just add pointless information to the infobox. The vehicles/weapons would already be in the article, anyway. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 01:40, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

A suggestion about a french version of Wookieepedia
Hello I am a french wikipedian and I wish a french version of Wookieepedia (like it is the case in Wikipedia) would be created. Does anyone (an administrator or someone else) could explain how to do it or even (forgive this boldness ! lol) create it ?=) Ankhelovf --86.210.69.14 00:45, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Try here, although it is a little bare. StarNeptune 00:51, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
