Shakespeare?
I'm curious if the William Shakespeare's The Phantom of Menace: Star Wars Part the First info belongs on this page, given that it is explicitly noncanon, and this is the canon entry for Jar Jar. Jar Jar's Legends page already has some noncanon-even-to-Legends info on it, so I'm wondering if that wouldn't be a better place for it.--OzzMan (talk) 18:07, November 17, 2015 (UTC)
- "Legends" isn't strictly equivalent to "non-canon;" both the Legends and NuCanon continuities have canon and non-canon stories within them. For example, the Shakespeare books are non-canon within the Canon continuity, and the first LEGO Star Wars games are non-canon within the Legends continuity. Conversely, Rebels is canon within the new continuity, and Star Wars: Clone Wars is canon within the Legends continuity, if that makes sense. Cwedin(talk) 18:24, November 17, 2015 (UTC)
I'm wondering about how to reasonably refer to the hard evidence that Jar Jar appeared to have force powers (force jump, mind control, drunken gods martial arts moves, etc.).
It's an opinion but I've looked at hours of material on the theory and wow- it has a lot of what I consider strong evidence.
Plus there's the rhyming of Yoda and Jar Jar. Yoda appears foolish and weak and then reveals to be the master. Jar Jar appears foolish and weak and really really really lucky.
As Obi Wan says.. "I don't believe in luck".

- Note that just because Obi-wan stated that in his experience there's no such thing as luck, does not imply at all that there is truly no such thing as luck in the SW universe. Though it's possible and even likely that Lucas intended this at some point, there is nowhere in canon that explicitly states this to be the case, thus it isn't sourceable. There's also no proof that other Gungan's weren't physiologically capable of making similar jumps and that Jar Jar wasn't simply making random mouth gestures behind people that could be misinterpreted as mind control. I petition to add this video as evidence. I think (and none of this has yet been confirmed) that Jar Jar was banished because the other Gungans felt uncomfortable about having an individual amongst them who had gone off and returned having learnt the Dark Arts.
Jar Jar lives on Naboo like Palpatine and Darth Plageuis(who's from the banking clan). before being revealed to be a Munn it is very possible that Jar Jar might have been Plagueis's civilian persona. There is still a mystery though, if Plageuis taught Sidious who taught Dookoo and then Vader, where does Jar Jar fit in? I assume that Sidious knew him if he were to have tipped him off about Padme being on Tatooine(as suggested in the video 25:20)
Do you think Jar Jar still has a role that was never truly revealed to the Public, because if he does, it would completely redeem the prequels and prove George Lucas to be a genius(he did make the rest of Star Wars afterall)
I'd also like to bring as evidence the fact that George Lucas is shown to have believed Jar Jar to be the key to everything regarding the plot, during the production of Episode 1.

I thought I'd raise it here as I imagine at some point it's going to be added (either wrongly or rightly) to the page by someone. but this passage was in the book
'She turned back to the rest of us. "Speaking of Naboo sardine fritters, did you know that Senator Jar Jar Binks and Lord Vader were the same person?" As Redy's audience gasped and whistled appreciatively, the bartender wheeled back to deliver Redy her food and drink.'

- I haven't read the book yet and don't know the full context, but that sounds like it could be added to a legacy section in the bio. "Sometime after this-and-that, so-and-so claimed that Binks was in fact the same person as the Sith Lord Darth Vader," or something would be fine. - Cwedin(talk) 01:53, November 2, 2017 (UTC)

Plagueis connection
re:
- Ferren Barr had his droid Endee show a holographic image of a list of files compiled in his previous exploits.
- Among these was a file on Binks that was placed directly under a file for Darth Plagueis and above the file for Amidala
This cites Darth Vader (2017) 14 so I went to check which of the 22 pages had this...
The only place I can see Ferren Barr is page four and I don't see any reference to Amidala or Plagueis or Binks there... is it possible the wrong issue is cited here? Am I just missing something in plain sight?
Where exactly is this 'list of files' ? I'm starting to think we should go beyond just citing issue numbers here but also page and panel numbers w/ direct quotes or even images too, just to make it easier to verify.
Edit: ok turns out why I couldn't find it was I was looking at the 2020 version not the 2017 version.
