Father

How do we know he is the son of Zobra, he was a legends exclusive character Gopher dude 11 (talk)

Killing-- as you rightly say, Zorba was Legends-exclusive, I can find nothing in canon to support him being the son of Zorba. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:43, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

Canon until proven non-canon, I say, and so does Disney, but that's not how this wiki does things.

Name change

A German magazine was used to cite the full name "Jabba Desiliji Tiure." I would like to see some indication that that magazine and its content is actually vetted by the Lucasfilm Story Group. We don't even cite Star Wars Insider for name changes like this, because magazines generally don't get vetted by the Story Group. Much like StarWars.com blogs, it's a simple regurgitation of licensed information, not a source of canonical information. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 19:29, March 21, 2015 (UTC)

It was published by the same Publisher, that produced the Star Wars Rebels Magazine before it aired in the UK. I think, the Rebels Magazine is Canon, too (?). Other than that, i can see no reason, why it shouldn´t be Canon. Janomoogo (talk) 22:30, March 21, 2015 (UTC)
  • Was it a short story or just an article? If it's a behind the scenes article it shouldn't really be counted. Calvin Schubert(talk) 06:44, March 22, 2015 (UTC)
It was like an Information page, i uploaded an image of it here. Janomoogo (talk) 14:02, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

So then, are we counting this as a canon source? Cevan (talk) 22:01, March 26, 2015 (UTC)

I think, its a good idea to wait until it will be (maybe) released in English Janomoogo (talk) 22:35, March 26, 2015 (UTC)
Are we agreed then to move this back to simply "Jabba"? ProfessorTofty (talk) 19:52, April 8, 2015 (UTC)
I hope so... Calvin Schubert(talk) 04:17, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
I believe we should. Cevan (talk) 04:25, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
Okay, let's do it. I'm going to go ahead and mark "Jabba" for deletion now in order so that we can move this page back to there. ProfessorTofty (talk) 09:34, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
It's done. If somebody could split with me changing back the /Canon links, that would be most welcome. There aren't all that many, a lot of them were never changed. ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:14, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
I found a few more! Calvin Schubert(talk) 20:55, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
There are about 45 right now, that's why I was hoping I could split them with somebody. Are you familiar with "What links here"? ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:16, April 11, 2015 (UTC)

"Jabba Desilijic Tiure" returns to canon

A shown in the "Look Inside" section of DK.com's page for Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, the full name "Jabba Desilijic Tiure" is back! --LelalMekha (talk) 11:28, August 28, 2015 (UTC)

Length as height

Jabba's height is listed here as 3.9 meters, but 3.9 meters is the length of the original puppet whereas the height of the original puppet is 1.75 meters. Jabba is clearly not more than twice the height of an average human, since he and Han Solo were able to converse at eye level in the Mos Eisley hangar bay. His Legends page has the correct information; I find it hard to believe there isn't a canon source that corroborates it after eight years. 67.159.130.152 21:23, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
