New Republic capital

Can someone explain why the canon articles for both Chandrila and Hosnian Prime seem to indicate that each became the new capital of the New Republic after the Battle of Endor? Is this something that hasn't been reconciled or decided yet, or am I missing something? And if it's the latter we should edit each to make whatever the distinction is clearer. Ecumenopolis, yet more than one city?

Hosnian Prime is listed as an Ecumenopolis, which is defined by Wookieepedia as,"An ecumenopolis was a planet or moon entirely encompassed by a single city" Note the term SINGLE CITY such as Coruscant. Yet in the Wookieepedia article on Hosnian Prime, it mentions 'Republic City', 'Darropolis' and 'Chikua City' as cities of Hosnian Prime. Impossible if it is a single world-wide city. I realize these city names come from other sources, but Hosnian Prime cannot be an Ecumenopolis, at least as defined in the Wookieepedia article. Certainly there could be clusters of cities neighboring each other that would encompass the planet, or different parts of the ecumenopolis could have sections that were named, much like boroughs in New York City. I feel there should be some clarification.
