Unknown Jedi kills?

Can I add these to the list?--Rune Haako 14:17, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

  • 26 Unknown Jedi - killed over Belderone
  • 1 Unknown Jedi - killed over Coruscant when Grievous ordered a disabling burst from the Invisible Hand on his shuttle and three pursing Jedi starfighters, destroying one of them in the process.
  • 1 Unknown Dark Jedi - killed on Dica or Necropolis

I went ahead and added them, if that's not ok someone can fix it.

  • It would helped if we knew their names. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:03, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I think there was an unknown kill above Dac, An Abyssin, in General Greivous Ruffles 00:38, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I don't think it was above Dac, but you're right. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:39, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Isn't that Quarmall, or is it a different Abyssin?--Rune Haako 00:44, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
      • It could be him, but I'm not sure. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:47, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
        • It doesn't state his name, probably should leave it as unknown. Ruffles 00:49, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
          • I've asked about it on Quarmall's talk page. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:50, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
            • If he's seen protecting the younglings, then I guess it's Quarmall.--Rune Haako 00:55, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
              • Where did the name come from? It wasn't mentioned in the comic.Ruffles 01:00, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
                • Unknown Soldier: The Story of General Grievous. - Lord Hydronium 01:03, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
                  • "If he's seen protecting the younglings, then I guess it's Quarmall". Not really. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:08, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
                  • It's definitely him; Unknown Soldier describes an Abyssin named Quarmall killed by Grievous whilst protecting younglings, and the Grievous comic shows an Abyssin (though not named) killed by Grievous whilst protecting younglings. It seems pretty ridiculous to think they could be two different people. --MarcK [talk] 17:01, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
                    • While it probably is Quarmall, do we have any proof to say that they were the same? Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 18:18, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
                      • Could Grievous have killed Master Ruati? I saw here, http://www.nightly.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/7/1302.html He was listed as killing him.--Rune Haako 20:13, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
                        • Perhaps, but is that a fan site? Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 21:49, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
                          • Looks like it.--Rune Haako 23:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
                            • Then, since it is a fan site, I extremely doubt it. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 02:15, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
                                • those 26 over Bel, do they count as jis kills, he did not kill them himself, it isn't specified whether or not they died in the refugee ships or simply in space combat. Jedi Dude
                                  • Technically, yes, they do count, and yes, they were all onboard the refugee ships. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:10, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism

The constant vandalism on this page is beginning to wear on my patience. Seeing as most of the info on General Grievous is already here, can we lock this page?--Xilentshadow900 01:54, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

  • What vandalism? Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 01:56, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
    • The changes to Jedi kills, among other things.--Xilentshadow900 11:20, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

his lightsabers used in the movie

The article lists that he uses replicas of ani's and obi's, and adi gallia's and ki-adi's.

but the novel lists that he uses the blades of K'Kruhk, Puroth, Nystammall, and Jmmaar. Master Secura

  • It's the handles that are Skywalker's, Kenobi's, Gallia's, and Ki-Adi-Mundi's, because they were just re-used for Grievous's, apparently. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:07, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Do you think Qymaen jai Sheelal (though he was actually going by Grievous then) killed any Jedi?

Of the 50 Jedi Knights and Masters that showed up on Kalee during The Huk War?--Rune Haako 18:29, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I doubt it. Grievous was a dangerous fighter, but his fighting skills were augmented by his transformation into a cyborg. As Qymaen jai Sheelal, he probably would have been killed, but he would have made the Jedi who did earn it. -- SFH 19:05, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Especially since most of those Jedi were ones he killed later (they reappear in the General Grievous comic) QuentinGeorge 20:01, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
      • In the ROTS Visual dictionary is says this,

Grievous' hatred of Jedi goes back to his former life as a Kaleesh warlord. Grievous captured his first lightsaber from a Jedi he defeated, and his collection has expanded ever since. That's makes it sound like he did.--Rune Haako 07:57, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Definitely. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 18:34, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Should I add it to the list?--Rune Haako 21:49, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Well, we don't know exactly how many... Something like "At least one Jedi on Kalee" or something like that. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 00:39, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
        • So, Grievous' first lightsaber was from Visual Dict's "The frist Jedi he killed" or "Sifo-Dyas' lightsaber as a gift from Dooku" ? Darth Kevinmhk 03:58, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
          • Sifo-Dyas' was just a gift, he collected lightsabers on Geonosis before that.--Rune Haako 04:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
            • Exactly. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 13:03, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
            • he collected lightsabers on Geonosis before that - But no, according to our article, he was already rebuilt as cyborg, received Sifo-Dyas lightsaber and Dooku's training before the battle of Geonosis! Darth Kevinmhk 14:06, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
              • Then it's wrong according to Unknown Soldier: The Story of General Grievous. It says Dooku was impressed with Grievous' performance at Geonosis and decided to begin his training in earnest.--Rune Haako 14:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
                • Exactly. Grievous managed to kill some Jedi at Geonosis and collected the lightsabers of all of the dead Jedi, and then Dooku trained him, apparently. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 14:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
                  • But Unknown Soldier also says that Geonosis is where he first started collecting lightsabers so does that mean the Visual Dictionary is wrong? (He wasn't a Cyborg then though the way the Visual Dictionary sounds.)--Rune Haako 15:15, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
                    • Let us talk this out 1 by 1: First, was Grievous already a cyborg during The Battle of Geonosis? Second, when where and who was Grievous' first lightsaber? Third, when did Dooku start training Grievous? Fourth, when did Grievous receive Sifo-Dyas' lightsaber and was that his first? Thanks a lot! Darth Kevinmhk 06:31, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
  • First, was Grievous already a cyborg during The Battle of Geonosis? Yes. Second, when where and who was Grievous' first lightsaber? Unknown Soldier: The Story of General Grievous says during the Battle of Geonosis, in the catacombs, and it doesn't say who he killed first or list all that he killed just that he started collecting lightsabers there, but the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: The Visual Dictionary says otherwise, but it doesn't say where (though it had to be either Kalee or Tovarskl) or who, just when, and that's when he was a Kaleesh Warlord.Third, when did Dooku start training Grievous? Sometime after the Battle of Geonosis. Fourth, when did Grievous receive Sifo-Dyas' lightsaber and was that his first? When Dooku started training him, and no it wasn't his first lightsaber.--Rune Haako 06:45, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Well, if originaly Dooku had no plan to train Grievous, then why add so many powerful modification in Grievous' cyber new body? (see, retcon dont always solve every problem lol) Darth Kevinmhk 06:59, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
      • Where did I say he had no plan to train him?--Rune Haako 07:07, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
        • It says Dooku was impressed with Grievous' performance at Geonosis Darth Kevinmhk 07:17, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
          • Oh, sorry, hmmm.--Rune Haako 07:22, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
            • Though according to Unknown Soldier he used his claws and an electrostaff in the catacombs to kill Jedi, so I can see why Dooku taught him to use a lightsaber, Dooku probably had plans to train him to begin with.--Rune Haako 07:31, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
              • Just checked LoE. Merely stated Grievous killing Jedi & taking their sabers; didnt state what weapon he used, whether he already received training or not, whether those sabers are the first of his collection. Darth Kevinmhk 08:12, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
                • Grievous captured his first lightsaber from a Jedi he defeated - This doesn't necessarily mean the jedi he got it from was killed. Obi Wan defeated Anakin on Mustafar and took his lightsaber. Did he kill him? No. --DannyBoy7783 14:48, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
                  • Good point.--Rune Haako 15:06, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
                    • As for the defeated Jedi, he/she could still have been killed. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 19:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

That's true...but it isn't our job to speculate.--DannyBoy7783 23:50, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Of course. I would never do such a thing. You know that, Danny. ;) Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 00:26, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Was that a joke, Jack? :D --DannyBoy7783 20:00, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
      • I suppose so. ;) Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 20:16, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

7 classic lightsaber combat forms

  • In Labyrinth of Evil, Count Dooku informed the reader clearly that Grievous and his IG-100 MagnaGuards mastered the physical elements of the seven classic forms of lightsaber combat. I am surprised that the article did not mention this... should we add it in? Darth Kevinmhk 14:37, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
    • From what I read, he didn't master them, he just learned them. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 15:47, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Ya, but I guess merely learning all seven classic forms - including rare seen Makashi and Juyo - was worth mention enough, plus he later copied some part of Mace's Vaapad. Darth Kevinmhk 16:12, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
        • I suppose it could be mentioned. Something like "Grievous and his MagnaGuards were taught all seven forms of lightsaber combat by Count Dooku". Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 16:14, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
          • Is this going to be metioned or not? Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 22:23, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
            • Of course i vote for mentioning... Need more votes from our fellow Wookieepedians? Darth Kevinmhk 02:44, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
              • Uh, you don't need votes for this. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 21:21, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
                • I intented to ask for more support because it was only mentioned in Labyrinth of Evil. All other canonical sources, including EP3 Novel, Databank, Visual Dictionaries, Insider articles seemed to evade the topic. Darth Kevinmhk 03:27, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
                • Just added it into the article. Feel free to improve the sentences. Darth Kevinmhk 03:24, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
                  • It looks good. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 21:40, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Bergruutfa Clan's lightsabers?

Do you think Grievous kept them even though they were just training sabers?--Rune Haako 15:15, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Probably not. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 15:32, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Sheelal and Kummar Go to White Castle

Sorry, I had to. Cutch 03:10, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Okay, that was extremely pointless. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
  • There's nothing you can really do about that joke. You see it coming, and you just can't avoid it. -- SFH 21:00, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Unfortunately. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 21:02, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Lighten up? Cutch 21:32, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
  • All right, we'll lay off. But seriously, for future references, something like that should go on your user page. -- SFH 21:37, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Okay, sorry. Cutch 21:41, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
      • An entire talk page section started off by saying "Sorry, I had to" is very pointless and annoying. Don't do it again. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 22:00, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
        • Please don't do it again. Some of us are still fairly new around here. Thanks. Cutch 22:34, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

            • Well, not to make excuses, but... I'm cooped up with a fever, so maybe I'm a little testy. Sorry. Cutch 00:22, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
              • Don't worry about it. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 00:24, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
                • I thought it was funny. We have to be serious in the actual articles, without question, but surely a little levity never hurt? I agree, it's place is in the user pages, but hell, I wrote the "Sheelal and Kummar" title! I should have seen it coming, and I didn't! I love the joke! Erik Pflueger 02:32, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Six Sabers

Did Grevious have any way to use six sabers? I remember reading somewhere (I think Wikipedia) that he had some sort of floating device attached to his legs that made it so he could hold six lightsabers. Is this true?

  • Yeah he had antigrav repulsors in his legs, as for using six sabers I'm not sure.--Rune Haako 15:52, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
    • I think he could only use five lightsabers, not six. He would probably need one leg to keep him balanced. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 15:55, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
      • He has enough limbs to hold 6 sabers, but whether he can hold and use all 6 at the same time was not explained. Darth Kevinmhk 06:33, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
        • Theoretically, he could hold six, assuming his repulsorlifts are strong enough. However, I'm guessing that they're there only so that when he balances on one leg the weight of the rest of his bulk doesn't crush it. Otherwise, there's nothing to prevent him from just floating around with six sabers, which he never seems to have done. --Thetoastman 02:12, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

64.235.108.242's edit.

Thanks to the stupid anon, we now have way too many links. Someone needs to remove every link the idiot added. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 18:16, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

          • Because Jaymach and I reverted the edit at the same time, and I thought you were talking to me but getting my name wrong. Sorry to Jack, Jaymach, jSarek, and anyone else whose screenames begin with "j". —Silly Dan (talk) 18:30, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

New Image

Personally, I think the current image has the same problem as the Bail Organa image had... --Redemption 22:12, 1 May 2006 (UTC) center|thumb

  • I think the current image is better. It shows more of Grievous's body. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 22:14, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I realize that but I thought the policy was profile/head shots? --Redemption 00:31, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
    • It's mainly full-body shots, not head shots. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:42, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
      • Can't people ever make their minds up? Geez...first it's full body promo, then it's head shots now we're back at full body promo.--Redemption 00:55, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
        • Unfortunately, some people added in other pictures, including this one that you presented, instead of the current one, and it kept getting reverted anyway. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 10:51, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Arm splitting on Hypori

My friend told me he watched it FRAME By FRAME and saw him split for a split second. Anyone agree?

  • Which episode? Episode 20 or a later one? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:53, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
    • He never split arms on Hypori, regardless of episodes. Grievous splits arms only 2 times in the cartoon: In the bunker slaining Palpy's 2 Jedi guards; and when Mace jumped down to confront him. Darth Kevinmhk 03:05, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
      • That's exactly what I thought. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 13:08, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
        • I finally understand why people claim seeing GG spilt arms on Hypori: Because yes, you really can see GG using 4 arms if you watch the Hypori fight frame by frame. But if you watch Yoda fights, you can also see Yoda having 6 arms and using 3 sabers... so you get the picture: GG's 4 arms on Hypori was just cartoon's effect to demonstrate his speed effectively. Darth Kevinmhk 14:39, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
          • Yeah. He doesn't split his arms; he just spins his arms around really fast to create the illusion of using four arms. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 14:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Destroyed or Killed?

In many places, as well as the movies, General Grievous was referred to have been destroyed not killed. Unless I am mistaken, living things are referred to as killed, but grievous, though living, was referred to as been destroyed.Star Destroyer 2500 15:10, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

  • "Don't make me destroy you" - Darth Vader to Luke Skywalker. Sometimes the terms are interchangeable. Destroy can be used to mean, completely wipe out or obliterate a sentient, to enhance the "kill" description - Kwenn 15:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
    • He was really killed, because if he would have been destroyed, his droid body would be included. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:40, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
      • Since the Jedi do not seek the destruction of others unless absolutely necessary, perhaps when they said "destroy" they meant "destroy the threat he presents" or "destroy his ability to wage war upon us"? Essentially, "to destroy" might thus be used to mean "to stop".

Grievous beats Asajj and Durge at the same time 6 months into the Clone Wars

Grievous' Cloak

In the Behind the Scenes section it says that Grievous' cloak was incorrectly white when he entered the escape pod, but I think it was grey. I think the lighting just made it appear lighter in color.--Darth Oblivion 03:28, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

  • But He never got to pick up Tarfful. RC-1187 02:33, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Did he want to? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 02:34, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I believe he did... But then Delta squad showed up, and Greivous left the Magnaguards to clean up. RC-1187 02:37, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
        • What, did he want to get his arms pulled off by a Wookiee after playing a game of dejarik? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 02:40, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
        • Maybe... Maybe not... Anyway, i think that Greivous may've just wanted to kill tarfful. RC-1187 02:48, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
          • That's probably it. By killing Tarfful, Kashyyyk's defenses would be weakened and overwhelmed by the droid invasion force. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 02:49, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Quote from The New Essential Guide to Droids

I want to include the quote from the Grievous entry in the NEGTD somewhere, but I'm unsure where to put it. Anyone got a good idea where it can go?TIEPilot051999 19:19, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

  • What is it? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:27, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
    • "I am Grievous, warlord of the Kaleesh and Supreme Commander of the armies of the Confederacy. And I am not a droid!" TIEPilot051999 19:55, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I say that goes right at the top. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:56, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
        • All right. *goes off to add* TIEPilot051999 19:59, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
          • Now we need a spot for the other quote. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:00, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
            • Gimme a few minutes to try and find a place. TIEPilot051999 20:03, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
              • Already did it. ;) Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:05, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
                • I guess great minds think alike. I had it in the same place, just further up. I guess the question now is, which one gets removed? TIEPilot051999 20:07, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
                  • Already did it. ;) Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:08, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
                    • Cool beans. *thumbs up* TIEPilot051999 20:09, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Great and cool! A very Grievous-style quote. Darth Kevinmhk 00:23, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
