Ancestors
...at least one of his ancestors had served as Chancellor in the past, among them Tarsus Valorum, Tullius Valorum, and Laeca Valorum. A Google search came up empty for these names, do we have a source?--Eion 05:18, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
- The ancestor names are from his entry in the New Essential Guide to Characters. It is unclear which of them was the Valorum who served as Chancellor in 100 BBY. QuentinGeorge 06:08, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
Confusing redirect
Supreme Chancellor lists Valorum (c. 100 BBY) and Finis Valorum (40-32 BBY), but Valorum redirects to Finis Valorum. - Sikon 14:17, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- There were two Valorums that served as Supreme Chancellor. See Valorum family. -- Riffsyphon1024 14:24, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Valorum should redirect to Valorum family. --Imp 14:44, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I kept Valorum redirecting to Finis Valorum and made the link a pipe to Valorum family. - Sikon 15:25, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- That'll work. -- Riffsyphon1024 15:33, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Image
We should have a movie image instead of the New Essential Chronology pic. Movie images are a higher level of canon than drawn images. Also, artistic style isn't an issue for photographs.-LtNOWIS 04:16, 4 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Agreed. Have reverted to the movie still that was there originally. QuentinGeorge 04:39, 4 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Unpopular
Anyone knows why Finis is soo unpopular in the Republic after his ousting from the senate?
Lego Star Wars 3 character?
Will valorum be a playable character in lego star wars 3? —Unsigned comment by 71.53.18.160 (talk • contribs)
Non-sourced info removed
I removed the following:
...who has stated that the character was inspired by then US President Bill Clinton. Stamp recalls that George Lucas described Valorum as a good but beleaguered man; Valorum's "connections" with the above-stated women are probably references to Clinton.[source?]
This is another one of those silly rumors about Clinton/Bush that has no source and is pure fantasy. TrueJedi 03:04, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Valorum's height vs. actor's height
Finis Valorum's height is listed as 1.70 meters in The New Essential Guide to Characters. Actor Terence Stamp's height is listed as 1.83 meters in IMDB. I don't want an edit war in the article, so I'll try to reach a consensus here. As far as I understand, the actor's height is not a relevant or canonical information when a different, canonical source overrides it, as in this case. Opinions? --Skippy Farlstendoiro 06:45, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Core Faction
"Under the support of the Core faction of senators." How do we know that Finis Valorum was part of the Core Faction? and secondly how do we even know this Core Factio exists? (Hyper-Communications Cartel 06:39, January 28, 2012 (UTC))

The Clone Wars season 6 retcon (SPOILER!)
It seems we'll have to invalidate the "death" section of the article. I just watched "The Lost One" on German TV, and our dear Valorum was shown to be alive and well by the end of the Clone Wars... --Lelal Mekha (Audience Room) 21:38, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
- Perhaps we should wait until StarWars.com releases the episode guides for the Season Six episodes (which should be within the next week, since the episodes are being released on Netflix this coming Friday) before we make any drastic changes to the article. That will at least give the official site/sources some chance to explain what's going on with this mess and what's salvageable from Dead Ends. CC7567 (talk) 21:41, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
- You're right. At any rate, there are other quite distressing changes we'll have to deal with, such as Sifo-Dyas having been on the Jedi Council for decades pre-TPM (although he was, of course, nowhere to be seen in the EU)... Those "Lost Missions" will end up being our coup de grâce. --Lelal Mekha

you know, technically valorum death can still be canon, one can easily say that bit with anakin was just a abit of footage from earlier in the war with anakin, just change the date from 21 to 20 and voila. (74.73.148.152 01:13, March 21, 2014 (UTC))
I want to say that Finnis Valorum in legends is dead by anzats under Palpatine order, if star wars the clone wars in season 6 is canon than this don`t belongs to legends. I accept he is alive and well in that so called canon, so I request you to restore the article how it was before being "Vandalized", there is canon and legends, do whatever you want or what Disney want with canon but let legends be respect old fans.--177.65.171.235 09:49, September 20, 2015 (UTC)
- The sixth season of TCW was released in March 2014, which is before the big Legends announcement. Therefore, it belongs to both continuities. --LelalMekha (talk) 09:59, September 20, 2015 (UTC)
- Why can't we just keep Valorum's death in the article, not assign a date to it, and put it after the section that describes his meeting with Yoda?--ID-21 Dolphin

- It appears that The New Essential Chronology dates the events in question to "20.65 BBY" (21 BBY), which could only happen before 20 BBY, established by The Official Star Wars Fact File Part 60 to be the date of the episode that shows Valorum alive. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:21, May 16, 2017 (UTC)

I want to try to work in both stories and let the chronology be vague. That is what has always been done with The Clone Wars within the old pre-Legends articles. 62.45.158.228 18:27, August 18, 2018 (UTC)
Since the chronology of the clone wars was never clarified we should just assume Valorum's death came after the Clone Wars episode.
Yeah that's what many fans, like me, think. But there was this one idea that came up and this could be the key to fixing the problem between the comic and the tv series. In the Legends, Emperor Roan Fel had a double and so did Palpatine. The Sith Lord himself had his own double. In the canon timeline, Darth Sidious also had himself a body double for his own protection. This happened in the aftermath of the Battle of Yavin, in which the Sith Lord sent his own body double into the Arrth-Eno Prison Complex on the planet Coruscant. The decoy only appeared in Star Wars Annual (2015) 1. I hope this could help fix the problem.75.130.156.7 01:38, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
