Is there really a need for a separate Eclipse II article, that's only one sentence long? Everything that's said in this article is already covered in the Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought article. JimRaynor55 05:28, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
The Eclipse I and II are both the Same class? because the Eclipse II has a Significently differant Design.
Stats?
Needs stats like length, weapons, etc
Fate of the Eclipse II
On the last page of Empire's End, the Eclipse II is shown to be damaged but not destroyed in the ensuing explosion of Byss; as the bridge and most of the ship remains intact, it looks almost salvageable. It also didn't seem to suffer any visible damage upon colliding with the Galaxy Gun. --Exor 18:08, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- EclipseII had a ram on the front, It probley just split the Galaxy Gun in half. I think the EclipseII was just badly damaged by debris. The Empire probly left it and the Galacy Gun floating around where Byss was because they didn't have anthing to base repares from. Also it could have been possibly totaled.--Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin 19:34, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Size
The Eclipse 2 is smaller than the Eclipse 1 and I read an article and a sentence in it said this "The author of the "Dark Empire Sourcebook" has apparently suggested that an additional 1.5 km was added to the first ship of this class". Witch is the Eclipse 1 that he is talking about so the Eclipse 2 is really 16 KM in length then the 17.5 km that they put for it on this article.
- The Eclipse II is clearly a different type of ship from the Eclipse I, I can tell from just one glance. The differences are more than just length tacked on/taken off. -MPK 00:50, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- I've long been under the impression that the Eclipse I is the only known ship of the Eclipse I-class, and the Eclipse II is the only known ship of the Eclipse II-class, similiar to the Imperial I and Imperial II-classes. Grand Moff Tranner

- It seems very probable, given the sub classes mentioned have far less cosmetic changes than the Eclipse I and II. The engine arrangements and sizes are completely different, there's a small tower above the superlaser nozzle on the Eclipse II and I think the tower is also without all the sensor clusters that the Eclipse I had. The SOTG 07 does have them both as part of the same class, so I guess the first was just more experimented on or changed from its original design, if that was the reason given by the author. Construction
In the article for the original Eclipse Super Star Dreadnaught, it has an entire section dedicated to explaining how painstakingly long it took to construct the massive vessel, almost 10 years. Also, it was supposedly so expensive that after the Emperor died at Endor, many people considered scrapping it for more practical applications of the money. Where did the Eclipse II come from? The Eclipse was destroyed and the Eclipse II pops up right after that. I'm going to assume that Palpatine had them built around the same time, but it seems like an even greater waste of time and money than even the Empire could afford. Anyone have any canon confirmation of this? Kjølen 22:44, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Captain
The captain of the vessels appears in this picture, should there be an article for him? --Galactic Emperor (talk) 06:30, January 11, 2014 (UTC)
