Can we really say she was first identified in A New Dawn as her name does appear along with her actress in the credits of Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Episode II: Attack of the Clones. DarthRevan1173

Episode III novel
Depa is mentioned in the RotS novelization by Stover as a Jedi who fell to the dark side. (Page 5). But New Dawn says she died (as a Jedi) during Order 66. Is this a contradiction in the new canon? —Unsigned comment by 76.116.249.7 (talk • contribs)
- The film novelizations are said to be canon where they "align with the films." We've taken that to mean that they're canon only insofar as where they tell the exact same story as the film. Any deviations, additions, or contradictions to the films (for example, the Return of the Jedi novelization identifies Owen Lars as Obi-Wan's brother) are not canon unless an official canon story decides to say they are. So for the purposes of Wookieepedia, we don't include them in canon pages. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:19, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
Why is Obi-Wan in her council seat? in Ep 3?
I understand that her fall to the dark side is no longer canon, nonetheless her original fate was an explanation of why Obi-Wan has her seat in the council chambers. So does the new canon give an explanation of why she's not on the council if Ep 3 and why Obi-Wan is in her seat? Godzillavkk 2.4/15 5:54PM
- So far as I know, there is no explanation for that, at least not yet. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 23:21, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
Master Mace Windu
Recently I came to this page and Mace Windu appeared as Billaba's Master, what didn't appear before, and the source redirects to The Secret Jedi: The Adventures of Kanan Jarrus: Rebel Leader book, but in its page Mace Windu doesn't appear in the characters cattegory and, as I haven't read book, I'd like to know if it's an issue , and if so, where. - It's in the online holocron that's part of the book. If you have the book, you'll have a code to login to the website. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 19:52, April 1, 2015 (UTC)
Space Pirates Canon Source?
So, Depa being rescued from space pirates by Mace is still Canon? I thought it was Legends material? [ pepoluan talk ] 17:19, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
- The source is stated in the article: The Secret Jedi: The Adventures of Kanan Jarrus: Rebel Leader. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:52, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
Depa Billaba actually Human?
I got the newly updated Character Guidebook [1] and it says that her species is Human? I asked Pablo Hidalgo about this on Twitter and he confirmed it to be true [2]
So do we change her species or not? I know that her previous profiles in the Ultimate Guide and the previous Character Encyclopedia say that she is Chalactan but at this point I'm not sure and I don't want to go editing things on here without others input. - HayaMika
- Yup, we change that. And we can note in the text that she's a Chalactan human. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 20:18, April 5, 2016 (UTC)
- Alright. Any chance someone can tell me how to edit the sources on her page? I'm new to editing sources. - HayaMika
- Hi, HayaMika. Apologies, I took a liberty of editing the page myself. Here's how I did the edit; you can see what changes I made. Hopefully this can be a reference for you, so in the future you will be a productive editor :-) [ pepoluan talk ] 12:01, April 7, 2016 (UTC)
- Thank You for changing it Pepoluan! I will look at the changes and use them as reference! Thank you again! - HayaMika
Dark Disciple and Kanan
How do we know if her DD appearance is before coma or after she wakes up in Kanan comic? --Goodmind (talk) 18:39, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Where did it says Billaba uses Soresu and Vaapad?
The link doesn't lead me to anything or any proof
- The link should take you to the Force Collection wiki, Depa's card there reads 'While she had studied to become a Consular, preferring to solve conflicts with words rather than violence, Depa Billaba is a rare master of the extremely difficult Vaapad form of lightsaber combat.' Also in Star Wars Rebels, and the Kanan comic she is stated to use Form III --Lewisr (talk) 02:18, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
Skin color
Depa's skin color is cited to A New Dawn; in a past version this said "Tan," and currently says "Light Brown" with the edit reason "fixed text to match reference verbatim." However, my ebook version of the novel describes her as "Tan-skinned and dark-haired." Do different versions actually use different words? I know the word "tan" isn't always preferable since it can sound like someone who tanned in the sun rather than tan-colored skin, but the citation doesn't seem to match the source right now.
