Necessary?

Is this really a necessary page? Especially since this is pretty much covered by the list of Star Wars changes page. Kuralyov 14:54, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)

It's a different enough topic to warrant a separate page. The changes page discusses differences between releases, while this page also cover scenes which appeared in screenplays, storyboards, novels, etc. that never appeared in any release. Title

Current title sounds like this sort of cut scene ("a sequence in a video game over which one has no control") and not scenes cut from a movie. Change name to "Scenes cut from Star Wars"? --RMF 02:06, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Original Trilogy

Does LucasFilms have any plans to release the cut scenes from the original trilogy anytime in the future, or is there any other way to view them currently? - Danik Kreldin 02:10, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

After compiling info on cut scenes from Ep IV it's going to need a page per movie.

Padmé and Obi-Wan in ROTS

There is a scene in ROTS where Obi-Wan and Padmé have a conversation. The scene was filmed (and rendered) but not included on the DVD. Why isn't this there? It's where she's wearing the green dress I think. Katana Geldar 11:22, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Luke and Ben Spend the Night at Bestine?

I assume this question was asked around 2008. The weird thing is that this page is the first thing brought up when searching for the scene, and not much else. The only thing that halfway corroborates its existence is the fact that in the Disney canon book Star Wars: Complete Locations, it's apparently mentioned that Luke and Ben spent a night in a city called Bestine. Also, in the transcripts of the fourth draft and revised fourth draft of Star Wars I've found online, there are some missing scenes between when Luke agrees to go to Alderaan and when they arrive at Mos Eisley, where in the final film it just goes straight from the one scene to the other. And in the revised rough draft, Luke lies to a stormtrooper claiming to be from Bestine, the context indicating it's a town on Tatooine even though the same draft also had Biggs's mention of Bestine, which implied Bestine was a planet. Boba Fett Surviving

It's not true that Lucas filmed a scene of Boba Fett surviving the pit. Lucas clearly says this in the commentary on the BluRay of RoTJ.

Canon vs Legends

Why are some of the characters' names linked as Legends? Because all of this happened before George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney? Is it okay if I relink them all as Canon? --Retro Reed (talk) 22:23, December 21, 2018 (UTC)

Page renaming

I propose that this page be renamed "Content cut from Star Wars" or "Unused Star Wars content" as this list covers more than just cut scenes, such as alternate takes and dialogues. SavagePanda845 (Talk) 20:59, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

The Rise of Skywalker Deleted Scenes

Splitting up the article

Given the length of this article, would it make sense to split up into a page for each film? This main article could be kept, listing links to the individual pages. --JMM (talk) 13:47, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

I don't think there is any need for that, it's quite manageable as it is, and I think it's pretty neat for users to not have to navigate between several pages if they want to research cut scenes. NanoLuuke^{Cloning Facility} 06:15, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

Rename to Content Cut from Star Wars

A lot of what's mentioned in the article aren't necessarily full scenes that were cut, but rather small snippets. I feel it would be more inclusive to replace "scenes" with "content" in the article name. SavagePanda845 (Talk) 20:40, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

Scene where Stormtroopers swing over gap and are shot?

Hi, I remember a deleted scene mentioned in the Episode IV section involving Luke, Han, Leia and Chewie being trapped behind a blast door in a room with a circular pit. R2 is trying to open the door from the other side while Stormtroopers are swinging over the pit and are blasted. I remember it mentioning that it was supposedly on the Behind the Magic CD ROM, but that was never confirmed. Was this taken down because it was disproven?
