Fleet or Force? Kuralyov 23:50, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- I've seen it as both, if I am not mistaken. Admiral J. Nebulax 00:03, 26 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- I also have seen fleet and force, both in books and on this wiki (had some trouble making some redirects because of it). -- SFH 00:51, 26 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Then, if they were the same group, how would we display this? Make the title "Chiss Expansionary Defense Force/Fleet"? Admiral J. Nebulax 12:21, 26 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Clans in Charge
these were the Second and Eighth Ruling Families, apparently the Nuruodo and Mitth clans.

Uniform
Is it worth to mention in a BTS that their uniforms bear a strong resemblance to those of the SS? Captain Daal 08:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think that should be put in. The black uniforms have already been stated as to be a mix of all the Chiss Family Colours combined, I believe it says this in Outbound Flight. The white uniform of Admiral Aralanni is also described as being white because senior officers are stripped of all family connections to prevent favoritism, also in Outbound Flight. Symbol
Wouldn't this be symbol of Mitth family? --Goodmind (talk) 07:50, September 6, 2020 (UTC)
I would agree the sun symbol is that of the Mitth family. At least for Canon. Source: Memories II chapter of 'Chaos Rising'. "A young man in a black uniform stood facing her a few steps away. There weren't any insignia pins on his collar, which marked him as a cadet, and his shoulder patch had a sunrise on it. That was one of the Nine Families... ... Cadet Mitth'raw'nuru."
It is later at Commodore rank that the uniform and and shoulder patch is changed. Source: Memories X chapter of 'Chaos Rising' "Through the transparent lid she that it was her new commodore's uniform, blazing white instead of the black one she'd worn throughout her entire career. The insignia pins were already in place on the collar, and where the Irizi family shoulder patch would have been was the multi-circle symbol of the Chiss Ascendancy."
