Why this charater is blind

Force sensitive?
While the character lacks any major Jedi force powers, he seemed to sense the Force on other living beings, as was apparently the case when he sensed Andor's intentions of killing Galen Erso. Also he detected Jyn's Kyber crystal on Jedha. I wonder if this should be added to the character's abilities section. Your thoughts on this?--Kronnang Dunn (talk) 09:58, January 2, 2017 (UTC)
I agree. My take away was that he was indeed force sensitive roughly on the level Luke was at the end of A New Hope. It not only comes out in his ability to sense the crystal and people's intentions but also in combat. He's able to dodge blaster bolts and perfectly target enemy ships flying over head with a bow-caster. Shooting down a strafing aircraft is a challenge for a machine gunner. To me it's too much to try and chock that up to his other senses being heightened to compensate for his blindness. I suppose it's fair to say it's up to interpretation but I definitely disagree with this page outright saying he had no force powers.—Unsigned comment by Pcw2727 (talk • contribs)

- Lacking Force abilities does not mean not Force-sensitive, and looking at the article, we correctly avoided stating anywhere that he was not Force-sensitive, only that he lacked Force abilities. Force abilities would refer to training in specific applications and techniques of the Force. However, since Force powers are not "rule magic", that is identification of its applications as discrete techniques is arbitrary and done both in-universe and out-of-universe for the obvious reason of convenience, it can be argued that using the Force to improve one's feats supernaturally is a "Force power". In Legends, it might've fallen under Force Valor. Even actively sensing with the Force (rather than passively), can be called a Force ability depending on your interpretation.
- So I disagree with the Databank entry, but as Dr. Porter pointed out, it's not for us to decide. It is probably was referring to very discrete, active Force powers like telekinesis or whatnot or maybe Disney Canon now considers Force powers to be rule magic, but it is a curt and brief description anyways. Someone please edit and fix Imwe's personality and traits
His devotion to spirituality helped him overcome his blindness and become a formidable warrior.[1] He also had natural abilities within the Force due to being a Force Sensitive. These abilities included Precognition, Force Sense and Force Vision. Imwe was more than likely, not formally trained to use these abilities. However, his blindness and his strong belief in the force allowed him to naturally develop these abilities within his skillset. These abilities were shown through his ability to avoid blaster bolts, shoot down tie fighters, sense the darkness around those who had intent to kill and offer to see into other peoples future (implying he did in fact know how to do this.)—Unsigned comment by JediMaster412 (talk • contribs)

Force sensitive
He's clearly Force-sensitive, otherwise he'd be dead where he stood when the stormtroopers surrounded him. Plus, as has been mentioned in an earlier discussion, he could sense nearby kyber crystals and people's intentions. --Potsk (talk) 18:49, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
