Chimaera's Status at Endor
The article states that At the Battle of Endor, Chimaera was next in the chain of command after the Executor, yet does any source truley state that the Chimaera was established as next in command after Executor before the start of the battle? As far as I understand, the Chimaera become acting command-ship only after the Executor and numerous other vessels (among them those of the Death Squadron and the "Communications Ship") were sunk. This implies that the Chimaera simply became the next vessel in line, not the second of all the vessels assembled at Endor. Additionally, it's quite possible that Chimaera was nothing more than a normal fleet Star Destroyer, but amidst the chaos of that particular fiasco, the other vessels simply followed anyone with the initiative to command (i.e. Pellaeon aboard the Chimaera). So wouldn't it be more appropriate to say that the responsibility of command more-or-less fell to the Chimaera rather than was, one could say, "predestined"?--SOCL 01:03, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- You're right. There is a lot of evidence that the Chimaera was not second-in-command at Endor. JimRaynor55 02:56, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, the Chimaera card from the Star Wars Customizable Card Game has for its lore, "Early model Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Acting command ship in the absence of Executor." jSarek 09:11, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Truce at Bakura indicated that Admiral Prittick was in command of the remaining Endor fleet, at least once they reassaembled at Annaj. Kuralyov 01:23, 17 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I was under the impression that the Chimaera was present at the battle of Adumar. --70.120.76.237 19:01, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Where did you get that impression from? Admiral J. Nebulax 19:19, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Presence in Empire At War
You know who when you bring in random ships, they get a name? Well, one of the names for an Imperator Class is the Chimerea? Not exactly canon, but notable nonetheless. 67.175.123.49
Captain Pellaeon
In Star Wars Galaxies, Gilad Pellaeon is captain of the chimaera, yet according to Heir to the Empire, he was only second in command, until after the Battle of Endor. So which is canon?
- It seems quite likely that Gilad Pellaeon held the rank of captain while not actually serving in the position of captain while aboard the Chimaera; see his article and his talk page for more info. It's also possible that someone was assigned later to command the Chimaera, bumping Pelly down to first officer, though we've seen no evidence of this yet. jSarek 23:09, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
