Bouncers' Evolution
In Jedi vs. Sith the Bouncers fly freely. In Dark Forces: Rebel Agent the Bouncers are rolling and bouncing of rocks to fly. Are there any sources that describe the decadence of the bouncers, or the desertification of Ruusan after the Thought Bomb? Pi8ch 09:58, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Bouncers helping Katarn
In Dark Forces: Rebel Agent it is Morgan Katarn (Kyle's father) who finds the Valley with the help of the bouncers, not Kyle Katarn. So I assume it is an error that the article features Kyle.
PS: I hope i'm doing the right thing here. Its the first time I give input to wookiepedia - so I didn't dare to edit it in the text --Pi8ch 08:38, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- If you know it's wrong, then go right ahead and modify it. QuentinGeorge 08:45, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks for the encouragement. Pi8ch 09:48, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Floating VS. Bouncing revisited
This article currently states that, although Path of Destruction and Jedi vs. Sith show Bouncers freely floating, Rebel Agent and Jedi Knight contridict this, and that we've drawn from the Dark Forces books since they were the original source. Now, that was all well and good back when we only had those four soruces, but now that Rule of Two also shows them freely hovering, that means that the "floating" sources now outnumber the "bouncing" sources, and the article needs to be reevaluated, and reworked to contain that material. Normally I would just alter it myself, but seeing as this is a featured article, I figure it's wiser to open this up for discussion first. Din's Fire 997 00:05, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm. I have yet to read Rule of Two and I'd like to do so before adjusting the article. How specific is Two in its descriptions? --Eyrezer 22:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- A certain bouncer is mentioned to possess the ability to flee into the upper branches of trees, and at one point several are mentioned as floating around a certain building. Other than that, they're just plain depicted as hovering on many occasions. With a little effort, I can get page numbers if you like. Din's Fire 997 22:52, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Quotes would be more useful. My policy is always to take the specific over the general, and the Dark Forces material was very specific about their locomotion. It depends how specific Rule of Two is in its descriptions. --Eyrezer 10:08, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- I always thought that it was the general trend that we took the more recently written novel as more accurate than older ones, as such i think that bouncers should be described as hovering, also i think that the behind the scenes section seems to be completely dismissive of the possibility of hovering with the "this is just not the case." line. I would suggest a more neutral attitude R2d2rox24 23:52, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Fair call. I'm still a "specific over general" guy, even if the general is the later one - that comes from my law training - but I see the need for some changes. I hope to get around to this in the not too distant future. --Eyrezer 12:48, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Jedi Academy Training Manual
The book has quite a bit about Bouncers in it. ~ SavageBob 05:25, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
p. 154
- Ruusan is in the Mid Rim
- Constituted 60% of Ruusan's sentient population
- World was once lush and forested, but it became a world of deserts and canyons after an explosion.
- World was once known to the galaxy at large, but it was forgotten when nebulae nearby changed and made the hyperspace routes there unusable.
- Globe-shaped with tentacles
- Share world with the near-Human Ruusanians
- Archaeologists suspect that the Ruusanians are actually from offworld and arrived long ago. Bouncers who lived near the Valley of the Jedi "helped support and comfort the suffering warriors during the Battle of Ruusan."
- Their society has changed very little over thousands of years.
- Split into tribes that live in the mountainous areas of their world.
- Their language consists of "whistles and warbles". Some speculate they have telepathic abilities too.
p. 155
- Their world was a mostly unknown backwater before the Brotherhood of Darkness was defeated there 1,000 years before the Empire was created.
- Adventure Hooks: A few assorted figures visited the world during and after the fall of the Empire looking for various Jedi and Sith artifacts. (None of the hooks mention Bouncers, but it shows they had continued contact with outsiders late into galactic history)
- If Ruusanians came from offworld, they arrived before the Miner's Guild.
- Planet was colonized by the Miner's Guild during the days of the Old Republic. They considered Ruusan to belong to them.
- The total number of colonists and miners never exceeded 3,000 at once.
- World's ecosystem was destroyed by Kaan's thought bomb during the Battle of Ruusan.
- Many natives (presumably including Bouncers) died during the blast and subsequent ecological devestation.
- Those that survived "rebuild their societies."
p. 156
- Have a simple lifestyle.
- They do not roam the deserts like their Ruusanian counterparts.
- Have great patience.
- Have a high regard for life.
- They feel obliged to "heal and comfort" those who need it.
- Thanks. Most of that was in there, which is good, and I've added a few small bits of info that gave new nuance. --Eyrezer 08:17, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
First Pictured?
What does "First Pictured" mean? Because, they may of first appeared in Rebel Agent, but they also appeared in the illustrations in the book. So, that would be their first physical appearance too, would it not? Unless I'm misunderstanding what "First Pictured" means. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 00:37, January 2, 2014 (UTC)
