Tails
Are Barabel tails Prehensile? -- SFH 15:24, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Barabel tails are generally described as "clublike," so unless some canon source says otherwise, I would say that's a no to their tails being prehensile. --Halomek 07:11, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Barabels in "Darth Maul" Comic?
Hey, I was looking today at the "Darth Maul" comic (the one illustrated by Jan Duursema), and I remembered these two aliens who attacked Maul at some point, they were blue and ferocious and all, and on one panel they reminded me of Barabels. Once I had Barabels in mind, I couldn't help but noticing that they did look like Barabels, a bit more humanoid as Duursema often changes the alien a bit (for the better of course).
So, are they Barabels? The two blue aliens who scratch Maul and all. They certain look it. --Sauron18 04:18, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Anyone? In case you don't know which I'm speaking of, here's one of them:

They look like Barabels to me, when you add it to all other shots and to the kinds of things they do and such. --Sauron18 23:33, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

"This one"?
Why do Barabels refer to themselves as "This one"? That's F&!@#ed up. Pardon my french. (Ironically, I'm part French). Darth Kieduss the Wise 12:20, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
This one believes it is related to the reptilian singularity mindset...hunter/predator mindset that they exhibit, where these functions in their society and largely in other similar species are a solo function. Additionally, after the Empire used their planet to hunt the Barabels, the became even more nomadic, which was a key part of their survival in the YV war.
Just a thought....
I've noticed that Saba, Tesar, and other notable Barabel plus other reptilian based species don't have a "skin" color section. Would it be possible to give them one? For example for Tesar: Skin color: Black (scales). Just a thought. jedi_master425
Prey!
The main section quote in this article does not appear in The New Jedi Order: Star by Star, or in The New Jedi Order: Recovery, or in any novel that I've been able to search. If someone can track down the actual source (if any), I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll have to replace it. (Turns out this quote was copied & pasted into Quote of the Day and actually got +10 votes, but it may be fabricated.) I don't suppose Eyrezer is around to ask these days. Number of Eggs in a nest
Is there an average number of eggs in a nest or does the number vary? If I remember correctly and I'm not sure if I am, there were only three eggs in Saba's and the others' nest. One of those eggs being Tesar. But in Apocalypse in Tesar and the other barabel jedi's nest in the temple there were over 20 eggs.
