Year of Birth

Source for the assumed birth date? --Imp 12:14, 2 Aug 2005 (UTC)

  • Looks like speculation to me. --Azizlight 12:21, 2 Aug 2005 (UTC)
    • From QuentinGeorge's discussion page...
To be honest, I was trying to remember myself. I think it was the Timeline Gold, which probably was mere speculation. Feel free to remove (and remember to remove it from the 10 BBY page as well.) :) QuentinGeorge 08:54, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)
As a side note, her birth definately occurs in the nineteen years between ROTS and ANH, and since Boba is 13 in ROTS, it's got to be at least 16 BBY, but most likely later. QuentinGeorge 08:55, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)
--Azizlight 09:12, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)
  • Can we safely assume that Ailyn Vel wasn't born in 18 or 17 BBY like it says in the article? I'm not too knowledgeable about the character, I just think 13 and a half is a little early for Boba to start "makin' babies." I would think a year like 16 BBY, when Boba is about 16 years of age, to be a little more viable. Any thoughts?--Knightfall 00:44, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Perhaps Ailyn was born even later, perhaps closer to 0 BBY than 19 BBY. Admiral J. Nebulax 00:46, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
      • I agree, I just think the age-range included in the article is a bit broad considering 18 BBY makes Boba pretty young for him to start...copulating.--Knightfall 00:49, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
        • Then how should we put it? Somewhere between, maybe, 16 BBY and 0 BBY? Admiral J. Nebulax 00:51, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
          • That would work, but it depends on what grounds that information was put there in the first place. I don't know enough about the character to say that she wasn't born within the year range thats in the article, just enough to speculate that she most likely wasn't conceived when Boba was 13, 14 or 15...namely, in the years 19-15 BBY.--Knightfall 01:01, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Homeworld

I thought I'd justify my inclusion of this.

  • Boba Fett married Sintas while he was Journeyman Protector of Concord Dawn
  • Ailyn was born while Boba and Sintas were still married.
  • Therefore, Ailyn was born on Concord Dawn.
  • Fair enough, right? QuentinGeorge 09:29, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)
    • Fair enough, though I don't know the source of your first point - the marriage on Concorde Dawn :-P --Azizlight 09:43, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)
    • I hate to dig up an old grave, but really, everything to do with Concord Dawn in this article is fanon, and I think it should be removed. The theory that Boba married Sintas on Concord Dawn is speculation only. --Azizlight 14:37, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)
      • Agreed; by all means, strike the fanon from the entry of your one true love. ;-) jSarek 03:17, 13 Oct 2005 (UTC)
        • Planet changed back to Unknown. QuentinGeorge 07:07, 13 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Ailyn isn't Mandalorian

Just a small note to the person that keeps adding the Mandalorian category: Despite the fact that Ailyn is featured in The History of the Mandalorians article, there is no information anywhere that suggests she had any allegiance with the Mandalorians. Her father was once a Mandalorian, but that doesn't automatically make her one.--Azizlight 14:58, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

  • Her father is not only Mandalorian, but the Mandalore. She wears Mandalorian armor and travels in a Mandalorian ship. She was born on a Mandalorian planet. Literally everyone that runs into her believes her to be a Mandalorian. She is a bounty hunter, the quintessential Mandalorian occupation. All of that, combined with the nebulous definition of what actually constitutes a 'real' Mandalorian, I think is evidence enough that she is one. Kuralyov 15:40, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
    • The armour and the ship aren't hers, so we can hardly use that as evidence. Jodo Kast is a bounty hunter that wears Mandalorian armour, but yet he isn't one (and Boba specifically says so). Additionally, Boba didn't become Mandalore until AFTER Ailyn's birth. QuentinGeorge 21:04, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
      • Nevertheless, he did become Mandalore, he was certainly a Mandalorian when she was born, and she was born on a Mandalorian planet. Although, I admit it would help if I knew what was considered to be the definition of whether someone was Mandalorian or not. Kuralyov 21:51, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
        • he was certainly a Mandalorian when she was born - I don't think that's strictly true. He was Journeyman Protector of Concord Dawn when she was born, and he didn't seem to have any affiliated with the Mandalorians until post-ROTJ. QuentinGeorge 06:08, 2 Sep 2005 (UTC)
          • Except that Jango Fett, his father, was Mandalore. -- SFH 14:41, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)
            • Fett hadn't been a Mandalorian for at least two years by the time Boba was born. When Ailyn was born, decades had past since a Fett last led the Mandalorians. QuentinGeorge 07:06, 13 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Habuur & Gev (Bloodlines spoilers)

The article states that Vel just took on the name Ailyn Habuur. How do we know that she did not marry her daughter's father and Habuur is her last name by marriage? Her daughter Mirta Gev, said that she herself was married (so her birthname could have been Mirta Habuur and she decided to keep Gev after she separated. DarthMaul431 02:56, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Burial

Where was she buried? Fett says they'll go to Mandalore by way of Geonosis. Does that mean they were gonna bury Ailyn on Geonosis or on Mandalore? -LtNOWIS 03:00, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Mentioned in Tempest?

Where? I don't recall seeing her name mentioned in the excerpt at the back of Bloodlines. I'm going to revert it for now. If someone has proof that she is indeed mentioned in Tempest, feel free to revert me. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 15:29, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Young Jedi Knights appearance?

This article seems to be saying that all the appearances of Fett between Shards of Alderaan and The Emperor's Plague were really Ailyn. Which is, I suppose, plausible, but do we have a canon source which confirms it? That part of the article isn't sourced; does anyone know where that one came from? actually during one of those stories another character makes an inquiry towards fetts gender and species which fits well into this character. as she is not completely human and female Unsigned comment by 68.61.39.108 (talk • contribs)
