Separatist control

Can it be added that Abafar is a Separatist-aligned planet since they installed a mining operation in Pons Ora?--71.80.172.90 06:14, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

Aurebesh data

For future reference, I'm copying here what Nightlily decoded and posted on my talk page:

In A Sunny Day in the Void, R2-D2's hologram data file read:

"ABAFAR" (headline)
"LARGE DESERT
CLIMATE: DRY: [sic]
VEGETATION: NONE
POSSIBLE SETTLEMENTS"

(Curiously, the colons are from the High Galactic alphabet and not Aurebesh.) The rest of the hologram (the left side) is unreadable in the episode, but later revealed in this picture shown in the Episode Guide (slide 8), which says:

"ABAFAR
SURFACE AREA: 580 025 700
LAND AREA: 14 11 000
SEA AREA: 80 40 000
POPULATION: UNKNOWN
EQUATORIAL DISTANCE: 1625856
POLAR DIAMETER: 12 11 714
LOWEST POINT: 850 M BELOW SEA LEVEL.
DEEPEST POINT IN PLANET : 44585. 25648"

(The punctuation mark and the colons are High Galactic.) --Stake black msg 01:37, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Which begs the question

Should the information from the Episode Guide be treated as canon or as behind the scenes material? Stake black msg 01:37, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

  • If the hologram was seen as-is in the episode, it is more than just bts information. Thrackerzod (talk) 17:05, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
    • Nevermind, I just realised the hologram in the episode and the one in the episode guide are one and the same. The information is canon and valid. Stake black msg 03:40, December 4, 2013 (UTC)

A discrepancy

On pg. 206 of the Episode Guide, it refers to Abafar as a "Separatist-controlled planet", but in the Encyclopedia entry it says that Abafar is "neutral". Which info. is correct? Darth Pythonis CIS roundel (Talk) 16:39, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

  • The Episode Guide is the most recent source. In a discrepancy between sources of the same "canon" level, the most recent takes precendence, iirc. Plus, we saw the CIS mining operation on the planet and their patrols in the town. Thrackerzod (talk) 17:05, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

Felucian

Where do you even see a Felucian on Abafar? Isn't just on posters?--Darth Pythonis CIS roundel (Talk) 19:14, June 28, 2013 (UTC)

Abafar system

How can Abafar be located in a star system if it has no sun? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 07:07, February 24, 2016 (UTC)
