Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith is an audio drama adaptation of the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – Dark Lords of the Sith comic series written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson. It was adapted by John Whitman and read by a full cast. The audiobook was first released on cassette tape by Time Warner AudioBooks on July 1997.[1] Later on May 5, 2005 it was released on compact disc by HighBridge Audio.[3]

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – Dark Lords of the Sith is a Star Wars Legends comic book miniseries written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson. It is the third miniseries in the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic series, and it follows the events of the previous miniseries, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – The Freedon Nadd Uprising. Dark Lords of the Sith ran from 1994 to 1995, and it was followed by the sequel miniseries Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – The Sith War.

Plot summary

Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider are enjoying a peaceful time in the galaxy until the Krath strike against the Jedi. At a secret Jedi meeting, the Krath place servant droids which are really programmed to kill. Many Jedi are wounded and killed including Qel-Droma's own Master Arca. Qel-Droma seeks revenge against the Krath. During his "mission," he struggles to hold on to the light side of the force and resist becoming the next Dark Jedi.

While Dark Horse Comics' timeline included in comics they published by the time of Star Wars: Crimson Empire, The Essential Chronology, The New Essential Chronology, and the Dark Horse Comics omnibus for Dark Lords of the Sith date Dark Lords of the Sith to 3997 BBY,[7][8][4][9] the timeline included in the article Straight from the Horse's Mouth: A Guide to the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Universe, Part 1, which was published in Star Wars Insider 26, says that the Political uprising of the Empress Teta system and the Conclave at Deneba happened in 3996 BBY and that Exar Kun became a Dark Lord of the Sith in 3991 BBY[10] and the timeline included in comics published by Dark Horse such as Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi — The Golden Age of the Sith and Star Wars: The Comics Companion dated Dark Lords of the Sith to 3992 BBY, approximately six years after The Freedon Nadd Uprising.[11][12]
