Tala[2] was a young girl during the High Republic Era.[1] During that time, she, her brother Tox, her mother and her father were looking for a better life on the Galactic Frontier. They were passengers on the Legacy Run, but they survived the Great Hyperspace Disaster and later participated at the Dedication of the Starlight Beacon.[1]

Behind the scenes

Tala and their family were characters conceived for The Great Jedi Rescue, but their story had to be cut in order to include other plot points of Light of the Jedi.[1] The seventh episode of the 2021 docuseries Disney Insider, titled "Puppet Masters, Authoring the Force, Capturing a Kingdom," first identified Tala and featured an early concept design of the character.[2]
