Tactical Plan Eighteen was a contingency plan utilized by the Alliance to Restore the Republic fleet in the event its location was compromised. All rebel starships classified as frigates or larger were to immediately head to locations chosen by their captains at random. Any starfighters and shuttles that were not on their home ships were to dock at the nearest vessel. Captains were not to reconvene until given the all-clear signal. This plan was drilled into rebel pilots, who could get the entire fleet scattered into hyperspace in ten minutes or less.[2]

Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[1] Mon Calamari Admiral, Gial Ackbar initiated the plan after rebel leader Mon Mothma had been kidnapped, fearing the secret location of the fleet could be at risk.[2]

Tactical Plan Eighteen appeared in the fourty-fifth issue of the 2020 Star Wars comic series. The issue was written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Madibek Musabekov,[2] and published by Marvel Comics on April 3, 2024.[3]
