Taarja was a trade language used in the Outer Rim Territories. When he encountered the Chiss officer Mitth'raw'nuruodo, Taarja was one of several trade languages suggested by Dubrak Qennto before Mitth'raw'nuruodo informed him that he spoke Sy Bisti. Quennto could speak Taarja, but was not very proficient in the language.[1]
