The T-s5 proton torpedo launcher was a model of proton torpedo launcher manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems. The forward-mounted M-s3 concussion missile launchers on the TIE/sa bombers manufactured by Sienar for the Galactic Empire could be replaced with T-s5 proton torpedo launchers depending on the mission profile for the craft. The bombers could carry a payload of twelve proton torpedos[1] and had their missile port located at the base of the vehicle's central body beneath its sensor array and between the cockpit pod and ordnance pod.[2] When engaging other craft, TIE/sas were most effective when using missile volleys to make up for their lack of maneuverabilty, blasting apart foes before they could close in.[3]
