The T-17 was an airspeeder that was presumably built by Incom Corporation as a replacement for the venerable T-16 skyhopper. It featured a new development of the ion engine that gave it a much greater speed than its predecessor.

Behind the scenes

The T-17 was mentioned in a conversation between two stormtroopers in the level "Cairn Bay", Kyle Katarn overheard the conversation while sneaking through the base. The conversation is likely a reference to the conversation between two stormtroopers in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, while Obi-Wan Kenobi disables the tractor beam, as those two stormtroopers are discussing the BT-16.
