Sweet Root Tea was a sweet tea with a slightly crunchy taste.[1] By 34 ABY,[2] Oga's Cantina in the Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu offered the drink to its customers as part of its selection.[1] That year,[2] The historian Eloc Throno described Sweet Root Tea's qualities in his Batuu guidebook, Traveler's Guide to Batuu, comparing it with several other types of tea served in Oga's Cantina and suggesting that visitors come to the establishment.[1]

Behind the scenes

Sweet Root Tea was mentioned in the 2020 reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, which was authored by Cole Horton as part of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge multimedia project.[1]

Star Wars: Timelines dates both the establishment of the Batuu Resistance base and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the in-universe guide must have been authored that year.
