Swarm mines were levitating mines that usually clustered together for maximum explosion power. They were deployed on Aut-O's flagship in the vault that carried a Separatist encryption module.

Behind the scenes

According to the Clone Wars Facebook page, the swarm mines were based directly on the vocal emulator device Obi-Wan used while disguised as Rako Hardeen in the episode Deception.[1]
