Sunrider's Destiny was a unique aquamarine lightsaber crystal.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, it was given to a Force-sensitive individual by Captain Sarguillo in the village of Aurilia on the planet Dathomir.[2] When this crystal was properly tuned to be used in a lightsaber, only the person who tuned it could use that lightsaber. When used in a lightsaber, the crystal caused the blade generated to be teal in color.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sunrider's Destiny appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] It shared the name of the Sunrider family, which included the Jedi, Nomi Sunrider and her daughter Vima Sunrider.[4]
Sunrider's Destiny was added to the game with the introduction of the village of Aurilia and the "Jedi Trials" system,[2] released with the Publish 10 on August 31, 2004.[5] The crystal was made unavailable following the release of the Publish 25, a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005, that totally revamped the Jedi profession and removed the Aurilia questline.[6] Finally, Sunrider's Destiny was reintroduced in the game through the "Rare Loot System," released with the Hotfix 17.10 on October 7, 2010.[7]
