During the Yuuzhan Vong War, at some point between 25 ABY and 29 ABY,[2] the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong invaders subjugated Kintan, the homeworld of the Nikto species.[1]
Though the planet Kintan was not Vongformed, nearly seventy-five percent of its population was either enslaved or slaughtered. Given the Nikto's combative nature, they were more often killed than captured by the Yuuzhan Vong.[1]
The Nikto who did survive the subjugation of Kintan went into hiding in the most remote portions of their homeworld.[1]

The subjugation of Kintan was first mentioned in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds, a 2004 sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, published by Wizards of the Coast.[1]
