- "It seems our original transport has a blown subalternator. Obviously there's not much to be done with that. They claimed to have arranged a substitute for us, but even the substitute is running late."
- ―Dez Rydan
Sub-alternators[2] were a type of starship component.[1] In 232 BBY,[3] a starship initially tasked with transporting four Jedi from Coruscant to the Starlight Beacon space station was pulled off of the task after suffering a blown subalternator, leading to the Byne Guild transport Vessel being substituted in its place.[1] By 35 ABY,[3] the Millennium Falcon had two, both of which were blown out by Poe Dameron while hyperspace skipping.[2]
