- ―General Grievous discovering several statues of Jedi
Several statues of the once-feared Kaleesh warrior and warlord Grievous were located on the third moon of the Outer Rim planet Vassek. The statues were situated in Grievous's personal fortress and lined the halls of his inner sanctum.
Description
- "This place looks like a shrine to that strange warrior. This is the lair of General Grievous!"
- ―Kit Fisto
Statues of Grievous's transformation
The statues of a mysterious shrouded warrior[5] of Grievous's past[6] were memorials that[7] celebrated the achievements[5] lining the halls of[6] his personal fortress[3] located on the third moon[2] of the Outer Rim[8] planet Vassek[3] in the solitude of his inner sanctuary.[6] One of these statues depicted him as a Kaleesh warrior, holding aloft a decapitated head of a Skrilling and a sword in the other.[9]
History
By the time he owned his fortress on Vassek 3,[3] General Grievous had several statues that depicted his progression from his organic life into that of a cyborg.[9] Jedi Master Kit Fisto and his former apprentice Nahdar Vebb led a Republic team to the general's home and came across several statues.[3] About two years after[10] the Jedi had infiltrated his lair,[11] Grievous discovered a hallway of Jedi statues upon entering the Jedi Temple on Ledeve and was reminded of his own statues on Vassek, believing those to be earned while the Jedi's were not. As such, Grievous reduced the statues to rubble before moving on.[4]
Behind the scenes
The statues first appeared in "Lair of Grievous,"[3] an episode in the first season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series that first aired on December 12, 2008.[12]
