- «I missed your starday. I'm so sorry. With all that was going on last month, I just totally forgot it."
"It's okay. It's not like I remember being taken to the skylight to see my first star. And, you know. Parties and treasure-puzzle poems are mostly for little kids.» - ―Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov and Sky-walker Che'ri
A starday was a day that marked the first day a member of the Chiss species saw a star in the skylight. Stardays were celebrated with parties and treasure-puzzle poems.[1] One day[2] by 19 BBY[3] was the starday of the Chiss Cohbo'rik'ardok, core name "Borika," sister of Cadet Mitth'raw'nuru "Thrawn." As Thrawn had lost his sister when she was five years old when she was taken away from her family, the Chiss Ascendancy's Kivu family, the cadet's loss was weighing particularly heavily in his thoughts during Borika's starday.[2] Around 18 BBY,[4] after her tenth starday, sky-walker Che'ri believed that starday parties and treasure-puzzle poems were for little kids, and she was not sad when her caregiver, Mitth'ali'astov, forgot her starday as Che'ri did not remember the day when she first saw a star.[1]
