Starck was a human[2] colonel in the ground forces of the Galactic Empire's military[3] who had light skin.[2] During the Battle of Hoth, Starck commanded the All Terrain Armored Transport walker Blizzard 4 of Blizzard Force, under the overall direction of General Maximilian Veers. Colonel Starck was killed when Blizzard 4 was destroyed by Luke Skywalker when the rebel activated a concussion grenade inside the walker.[3][4]
