Star Wars Launch Bay

Star Wars Launch Bay is an attraction found at various Disney theme parks featuring exhibits, memorabilia, and movie props based on the Star Wars films. Guests can also have photos taken with costumed characters and purchase various merchandise.[2]

The attraction was announced at Disney's D23 Expo on August 15, 2015 during a presentation discussing other upcoming attractions.[3] It opened later that year at Disneyland on November 16[1] and Disney's Hollywood Studios on December 4,[4] then at Shanghai Disneyland on June 16, 2016.[1]

The Shanghai version of Star Wars Launch Bay eventually closed in June 2019.[5] On July 22, 2025, Disney announced that Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney's Hollywood Studios would close later that year to make way for a interactive attraction based around Disney Animation.[6]
