Star Wars Droids App by Sphero is a mobile phone application released by Sphero that links to the "Star Wars App-Enabled Droids" line of toys that the company also makes. Linking to one of the droids enables remote control of the toy and access to various features in the app, depending on which droid is linked. These features included virtual starship tours and data entries.[1] It was first launched on August 31, 2017, as part of that year's Force Friday merchandising event.[2]
