- "A self-contained Micro Computer Game which allows you to simulate all the exciting action and strategy of Hyperspace combat."
- ―Game box description
Star Wars: Electronic Battle Command is a 1978 electronic game, based on the original Star Wars movie. It was licensed by Kenner.[1]
Gameplay
The premise of the game is the player piloting an X-wing fighter and attacking TIE fighters while avoiding black holes and Space Wrinkles — space phenomena that will "cast you into another galaxy." The X-wing can also land on a planet or on Magna, "the Force giving star." Players win the game by being the only one with any remaining "Force units," which can be drained by combat and black holes, and can be replenished by reaching Magna. The objects in the game are represented by a grid of red LED lights, accompanied by electronic sounds.[3]
