At least two individuals who lived during the High Republic Era were the parents of the Force-sensitive Trandoshan[1] male[2] Sskeer[1] who was born by 238 BBY. Also by that year,[3] when Sskeer was a child, he lived with his parents on his homeworld[1]—the Mid Rim planet[4] Dosh—and was taken by the Jedi Order to be trained as a Jedi, eventually becoming a Jedi Master.[1]

Around 228 BBY,[5] while the Nihil Ithorian Minister of Advancement Baron Boolan worked to create a cure for the blight infection, Boolan asked Sskeer if he remembered his childhood on Dosh. Sskeer responded by stating that he remembered very little. After Boolan told the Trandoshan about his own father, he asked Sskeer if he remembered his parents, to which the Jedi said he did not.[1]

Behind the scenes

Sskeer's parents were mentioned in flashbacks in The High Republic: Tempest Breaker, a 2024 audio drama written by Cavan Scott and published as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[6] Phase III.[7]
