Spread barrels were a blaster rifle or blaster carbine modification available for 1725 credits following the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. The barrels increased the spread of the laser beam, allowing to hit several targets with one shot. Models of this barrel included SoroSuub Corporation's 800 barrel, BlasTech Industries's 8405 spread barrel and Arakyd Industries's Model 70 spread barrel.
