The spraystick was a handheld weapon that saw use during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The weapon was capable of lethally spraying a chemical at the target. The spraystick was given the designation of a rifle though it resembled a lightsaber hilt, both in size and in shape.
Behind the scenes
The spraystick appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The spraystick was designated as a rifle in the game, despite being a small handheld weapon.
