Spindrift was a planet in the Spindrift system, located in the Outer Rim's Rseik sector.[1] An isolated world, Spindrift was home to an Imperial outpost called Spindrift Station during the era of the Galactic Civil War. In 3 ABY, Spindrift Station was attacked by a Rebel squadron flying repurposed TIE starfighters, who captured the station in order to obtain route coordinates for an Imperial armada[2] carrying a unique creature called a teezl.[3]

Spindrift appeared in Star Wars 60, written by David Michelinie, illustrated by Walter Simonson and released in 1982.[2]
