The Spice Siren was a Republic freighter that was active during the Clone Wars. In 21 BBY,[2] the ship went missing in the Tatooine system in a suspected act of piracy. At the time, the ship was carrying munitions. Breakout Squad, led by Jedi Commander Nuru Kungurama, was sent to investigate.[1] Years later, Biggs Darklighter and Luke Skywalker once shot down numerous, large womp rats from the safety of Bigg's speeder near the crashed Spice Siren in the Xelric Draw.[3]

Behind the scenes

Spice Siren appears in the 2009 young readers book A New Hope: The Life of Luke Skywalker, and is mentioned in the 2004 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy and the 2012 novel The Clone Wars: Secret Missions 4: Guardians of the Chiss Key.
