The Sphere of Military Strategy, also known as the Ministry of Military Strategy and the Pyramid of Military Strategy, was one of twelve Spheres of Influence of the reconstituted Sith Empire. Headed by a Dark Councilor, the Sphere was responsible for the strategies and plans that allowed the Spheres of Military Offense and Defense of the Empire to lead the Imperial Military to victory.

History

Darth Azamin was the head of the Sphere during the Great Galactic War, and he was succeeded by Darth Decimus during the Cold War.

After the Empire's defeat at the hand of the Eternal Empire, the sphere was combined with the Spheres of Military Offense and Defense of the Empire into the Sphere of Military Command by Empress Darth Acina.[4]

SWTOR mini Forums: Dear Story Team, What Year Are We Currently In? on The Old Republic's official website (backup link) and Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia establish that the Battle of Ilum and the end of Act III for the class storylines of Star Wars: The Old Republic occur in late 3640 BBY and prior to the events of The Old Republic: Annihilation, which is also set in 3640 BBY per The Essential Reader's Companion. Annihilation establishes that the Treaty of Coruscant collapsed approximately eighteen months prior, or in 3641 BBY, and as Act III occurs after the treaty's collapse, the act begins sometime between 3641 BBY and 3640 BBY.
