Specialist

Specialist was a military rank in the Republic Military during the Great Galactic War and the Cold War. It was below a Corporal and above a Private. Specialists were also used in the Alliance to Restore the Republic, where they denoted soldiers tasked with performing specialist tasks inside combat squads, such as heavy weapons operators.

This rank was in use in the Imperial Army of the reconstituted Sith Empire during the Sith Wars.^[1]
