Sparring droid

Sparring droids were a model of droid utilized by the Jedi of the Jedi Order in testing their reflexes and aim with a lightsaber. Designed to handle lightsaber damage, the droids had clawlike hands and moved on treads. The Padawan Reath Silas activated one sparring droid in the wake of the discovery that his Jedi Master, Jora Malli, had died, accidentally slashing with enough intensity to nearly slice off its head.^[1]
