Sord Montok was a transport company active during the height of the Galactic Empire. They were best known for the transport of slaves, primarily Trandoshans and Wookiees as the species had an ancient rivalry which the slavers could use to occupy the slave with fighting among themselves rather than attempting to escape. The company's main transport ship, the Sord Montok, was named for the company itself.[1]
After picking up the Wookiee slave Reerookachuck on the planet Kessel, he caused a riot enabling him to escape. As a result, the Sord Montok CEO placed a sixty-five thousand credit bounty on the Wookiee to make an example of him and preserve the corporation's image.[1]
