Soontir Fel[3] was a human[1] Imperial Starfighter Pilot who became a Baron of the Empire and led the elite Imperial TIE Interceptor squadron Saber Squadron.[3] Fel participated in the Battle of Endor where he deployed from an Imperial-class Star Destroyer leading a large force of TIE Interceptors, TIE fighters and TIE bombers.[4]
Behind the scenes
Soontir Fel was first mentioned in the Star Wars canon on a card titled "Saber Squadron Ace" in the Skystrike Academy Squadron Pack, a 2021 expansion for the miniatures game Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition by Fantasy Flight Games.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Soontir Fel first appeared in the twenty-first issue of the comic series Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron,[5] written by Michael A. Stackpole, illustrated by John Nadeau, and published by Dark Horse Comics on August 6, 1997.[6]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Ultimate Star Wars states that the TIE fighter pilots of the Galactic Empire were all humans. As Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition — Skystrike Academy Squadron Pack Card: Saber Squadron Ace — TIE Interceptor establishes that Soontir Fel was a TIE/IN interceptor pilot, the pilot must therefore be human.
